I really wish Bonnie's conviction to kill Klaus in s2 had AT LEAST a non elena related cause

Like, here's the thing: EVERYONE is ready to die for Elena. It gets repetitive after a while. And while the salvatores have their issues and Jeremy is her brother, Bonnie could've had a more interesting motivational. Cuz, as much as i love platonic relationships, Bonnie and Elena's is unequal.

Bonnie jas lost/ sacrificed a LOT because of Elena. Her grandmother most of all, but so many of Bonnie's choices are tied to Elena. Meanwhile Elena hasn't had to sacrifice much for Bonnie. Not saying she wouldn't, but the show didn't exactly give her an opportunity to match Bonnie yet.

As such, i really wish her attempt to kill Klaus would've had a little more.

1. Pride. Have her want to kill Klaus bcs the loss of her powers scared her so much, and she needs to gain back thay control. Have her be cocky and convinced that she can take him, and have Damon convince her not to.

2. Vampire hatred.

Bonnie's fear and hatred of Vampires was VALID. was she mean and unfair to caroline? Yes, but she's also 17 and grieving, so she gets a nod. Bonnie can't kill the salvatores bcs they're the good guys, but she could kill Klaus. Honestly, her taking her trauma out on Klaus would've given her aj interesting depth, while still keeping the results the same

Tldr: bonnie deserved more

Season 3 Stefan retroactively makes damon look lame.

Damon: has been a villain for most of their lives, has been scary in the beginning but it faded out as he constantly git his ass kicked by stronger vampires

Stefan, 5 mins after a snack: steals the coffins, blackmails Klaus, makes him CAVE, is objectively more destructive than a lot of villains
