I'm not sure you want to watch that video.
yeah, I was assuming just from the title card that it was going to be annoying, so I'm not planning to. I'm guessing they're chickening out of taking an actual hard stance against it?

Your art is so stunning! *Grabs it in my mouth and shakes violently*
Thank you so much!!! 🥺✨
For your sake, I hope it tastes good too lol

14. do you have a favorite character design?
i really like elluka’s original design. big fan of the strawberry blonde hair with the little curls at the end of the 2 pieces that fall over her chest, and the make of the sleeves. i similarly enjoy irina’s OSS sleeves and pant legs.
^i swear elluka’s hair is strawberry blonde in some renders.
gumilia with the glasses is also really cute. my autism creature
I've watched one of your videos about Inaturalist. What do you mean exactly when you say that Computer Vision is not AI? What do you include as AI? Is there a technical description of this CV that I can check?
I mean it's not generative AI, which is what the staff are trying to claim to get people to stop complaining about them wanting to do *generative* AI. It's the same bullshit as trying to go "Oh? You don't like AI generated writing? I bet you hate spellcheck too!"
The "computer vision" is given the first photo from any observation that reaches research grade, and it then uses those photos to try and recognize more of the same species. This is an *actual* use of machine learning that researchers have actually been using for years, which generative AI shills are now trying to claim is the same exact thing as generative AI, even though it's not. One of them is helping to categorizing existing information. The other is generating misinformation / text / images.
I'm saying it's "not AI" because at this point "AI" is synonymous with the generative AI bullshit everyone's pushing, and I'm not gonna waste my effort "being more specific" when they all want to convince us it's all AI.
I'm not sure if there's a technical description of it anywhere, but this is the original announcement for it, they link to some articles. https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/computer_vision_demo
edit: also, them claiming "No one has a problem with the CV" isn't even true. It causes more problems than it solves with certain species that are understudied, or that have cultivated cousins, and more. It really only helps with species that a lot of people already recognize, because otherwise it's just going to keep spitting out the same wrong answers. (It will, for example, NEVER offer the correct species for any cultivated Canna lily. Ever. Because they don't allow it to offer hybrid species as suggestions, so it will literally just keep flooding the actual wild species' categories with cultivated hybrids that are Very Clearly not the same species.)
I know that for squares, all their sides being equal doesn't guarantee geometric regularity or equality of all their angles. Are shapes such as these considered irregular in flatland?
Yes, those would be considered irregular. To be considered regular/deserving of basic human rights, you have to have all of your angles and sides match. (Though it is implied that for very very very high class people who have several hundred sides, they can get away with a little bit of mismatchedness as long as it's not too noticeable)
A perfectly square square is considered human, but if instead they were a rectangle, with one pair of sides slightly longer than the other, then they would be considered Irregular, even though all the angles are the same.
The stated goal of this bigotry among other things is that you should always be able to tell how much space a given shape will take up just from measuring one angle and assuming the rest are the same. (With different total sizes based on the age of the shape on question)
This is why I made a little drawing possibly last year at this point, of an equilateral triangle and a line looking ominously at a little baby rectangle. They were expecting a perfect square son, and instead they got a rectangle.
I have a different problem with Plagg. What are your thoughts about Plagg insisting in calling Tikki sugarcube. I think that's definitely a problem
Yep, he’s Adrien’s counterpart through and through. Doesn’t care about anyone but himself, irresponsible as hell, doesn’t respect women, literally mirrors of eachtoher.
No offence but why are you still up?
Lol I was drawing a meme :)
Have you ever watched the legend of the seeker?
Nope, first I heard of it was your post talking about the racist episode
