Yeah, I still have no idea what I’m doing here. I think I accidentally found posts that aren’t from staff? Mostly yinglets.
Should I be posting my writing here? How does one... actually do that? Do I upload documents here, do I just copy and paste the chapters here? Do I upload elsewhere and link them here? (I’ve mostly been posting to FurAffinity, do I just link that?)
Would anyone even be interested? I have three series going currently, with non-human protagonists mostly exploring themes of transformation, altered social roles, discovering new social roles and relationships, and dealing with the world.
Two of them take place in a setting I call “Earth/Terra Split World”. Earth and Terra are two parallel universes, and every thousand or so years, the boundaries between them start to wear down. Massive Chaos Storms erupt, sweep across the land, and leave behind massive devastation in their wake. But occasionally, they leave behind something new: Trees or grass that wasn’t there before, ruins of buildings that appear in an empty field, or even creatures thought to only exist in myths and legends. Generally, anything unlucky enough to be caught in one is destroyed, falling out of reality itself to be broken down into the swirling maelstrom of raw energy that served as the birth of creation itself. But occasionally, people just might find themselves somewhere completely different than where they started. Even another world entirely. Terra is much like Earth, but populated by the handfuls of survivors that made it through previous Storms. Magic is the rule, not the exception, and even if most people can’t manage more than lighting a candle, they still know it’s real. Mage’s Guilds, magical creatures, plants, potions, enchanted items, and so on. But with all the technology and constant access to cameras, the storms that previously faded into unexplained obscurity and the strange events that surround them aren’t going to be ignored for long, and the two worlds are going to meet. For better or for worse...
I’ll also admit that the Earths I write are a bit better than the real thing, quite simply because I prefer to leave out a lot that just makes me sad to think about too much. Republicans didn’t put a disgusting orange monster as their spokesman, racist bigots didn’t feel empowered to spread their vile filth openly, and in general the vibe of “Things are getting better” from the early 2010s didn’t get rugpulled and plunge us into a new dark age.
I’ll post art of the main characters and give a brief bit about each of their stories. ^_^
