2026 - another one finished, profile ready for ArtFight now.
2026 reference for Morang (part 1) work clothes worn when collecting animals the sea side rocks and tide pools.
Whale ticks will wash up in bulks. And maanul children have been prone to picking them up because of their large size and somewhat "funny" orb appearance. Unless they're washed up dead, the whale tick will flap its flippers when disturbed, usually creating a slight slapping sound as it hits itself due to how engorged they are, as well as flashing the yellow underside of said flippers. It is usually enough to scare off predators, or the sophonts fledglings into at least dropping them.
The opposite may occur, where the children will bother the Oiwi more, because they want to see it react and do its thing again. It may result in death by exhaustion if they're relentless enough.
What is Hasah’s story like in altuyur?
2026 - In short, Hasah is a Shuamatt child soldier. Mostly positioned as patrol control and watch guard. She is protected by Shuamatt law from retaliation, and is used for harm against her own people. Hasah's goal in life is to try to make things better than when she found it. Mainly through connections with people. Which she always will be ostracised from her own people in some way. She is used as a tool to cause harm against her will, and she fears that her only legacy will be of pain inflicted on others, and making the world a worse place than it already is.
Like Mao and Morang, she's also ayêsh. But she is of ayêsh from a different region, more southern, and under Shuamatt Republic's territory. While in contrast Mao and Morang have immigrated in their childhood to an independent Shenouk Ayêsh community, thus somewhat less reliant on Shuamatt Republic for survival. Tho they still have to farm a crop (root sugar) that was given to them by the Shuamatt republic, and it is unfamiliar to the land they live in historically, all of it so they can trade. Tho in the end they are mostly scammed of how much profit they should be making.
2026 - oc height btw lol hasah is somewhat large while mao is on the smaller side for her ethnic group
2026 - oc work, Sulfur storyline
Sometimes, I wonder if the past versions are mad at me for taking their place. Should I be scared of the next one coming? Should I fight and anticipate being removed? But It's only me, though. It's always just been me.
Is Pando’s name a reference to the aspen colony 😮
2026 - yes! It used to be a temp name, since the overall idea is the sme, but I never found something better, plus it is fun to see who notices it or not.
Mierthri's natural range was all around Pando. At least the largest population, Xiwit, resided and still resides there. They are not within the biome but build their homes around its perimeters, every year they have to deal spring's spore season coming from pando, causing infrastructural damage when not dealt with. The easiest methods being controled fires, for when the spores landed in their crop fields. For spores landing on infrastructure, homes or radio towers for example, then manual removal it will be. With proper attire and tools to reduce risk of harm like allergic reactions.
A few smaller groups reside deeper within Pando and Xiniat, the homes are built in the layers of interlocking tube "branches," soil within panda is very poor, so most groups do not participate in agriculture that requires fertile soil, but they do cultivate and manually aid in breeding the sessile organisms that act as pando's "flora". Xiniat population end up being bright pinks and reds to blend in better. Though they are never close to what would be the core/center of that area.
The mierthri groups that would traditionally build into and onto the large clay side of hills, Ziet, are not within Pando either, they reside within the perimeter of it too, like Xiwit.
Pando isn't a single individual member of its species, but it is the largest cluster of oragnism on Altuyur
Pando is not a singular organism copied but a network of sessile organisms and various fungal-like species, even the air within that region has airborne organism, usually the young stage of what is already settled.
