Annie hadn't meant anything by it, she just thought that maybe Six would like a kiss goodnight. It wasn't meant to be condescending or anything of the sort. But she could tell just from the tone of voice that she'd offended them in some way.

"Hey, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or anything like that, you know that, right?" Her head tilted to the side, mouth turning down into a small frown as she bent down next to them.

"If you don't want a kiss, you don't have to have one. Sometimes it's just a nice gesture, but you don't have to take it."

She went to reach out a hand, meaning to place it gently on their shoulder before she thought better of it and pulled her hand back. "But, y'know, you didn't ask me if I wanted a kiss goodnight. I feel like I should be hurt, do you not like me anymore?"

 𝐚𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐬  𝐡𝐚𝐬  𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧  𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝  𝐭𝐨  𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬  𝐩𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬  𝐢𝐧  𝐭𝐡𝐞  𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭,  𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞  𝐨𝐟  𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡  𝐡𝐞  𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝  𝐝𝐮𝐞  𝐭𝐨  𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫  𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡  𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲  𝐚𝐧𝐝  𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥  𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬.  however,  there  were  others  that  he  declined  simply  because  they  didn't  align  with  his  interests.   podcasts,   in  general,  weren’t  really  his  thing.  his  content  and  streams  are  always  high  energy  and  chaotic,   and  simply  talking  into  a  mic  feels  more  serious  than  he’s  used  to.

 however,   when  jamie  offered  atlas  didn’t  hesitate  to  say  yes.  he  likes  jamie  as  a  person  and  a  content  creator.  conversation  flows  easily  between  them,  and  being  with  them  is  always  fun.  ❝i’ve  wanted  to  do  more  ❛irl❜  streams.❞  atlas  says,  leaning  back  into  his  chair,  ❝i’ve  done  a  couple  of  them  with  my  best  friends,  just  dumb  shit  like  one  where  we  went  to  a  thrift  store  and  picked  out  the  most  awful  outfits  for  each  other.❞   he  chuckles  with  a  shake  of  his  head.  ❝but  a  hunt  for  big-foot  or  something?  fuck  yeah  that  sounds  so  fun.❞  at  this  point  he  has  to  remember  to  actually  talk  into  the  microphone,  it  feels  as  though  the  pair  are  just  hanging  out, simply talking to each other. 

 atlas'  grin  widens  when  they  mention  playing  games  together.   ❝absolutely,  i’m  always  down  if  you  wanna  play  more  games  sometime. i  do  horror  sometimes,  too,  but  i  do  a  little  bit  of  everything,  fortnite,  valorant,  shooters  do  really  well  on  my  twitch  so  that’s  usually  what  i  stick  with.  but  i  also  take  requests;  what’s  popular  constantly  changes,  so  if  there’s  something  people  wanna  see  me  play,   i’ll  try  anything.❞

Dorian has a bad habit of doing this- staring off into space with no recognition appearing in his gaze. he doesn't know why he does it, but it probably has something to do with the trauma that's been instilled in his brain since he was a little child. he'd face a lot of terror in his time as a youth and it was no surprise that he'd be affected by it. blinking back into reality, he turns to face Tony with a blank look on his face, exhaling quietly.

"sorry," he says, voice somewhat monotone as he tries to come back to earth from wherever he was."i didn't realize i was staring." perhaps he was just lost in thought . . . though anyone could clearly tell there was something wrong with the vampire. he wasn't hungry. he'd already had his fill. no, there was something much more simpler wrong with him. perhaps he was just sad and it got away from him. that seems like the likely scenario as he wrings his hands together and offers a small smile. "i was thinking about my new book i'm writing. would you like to hear about it?" or perhaps it's neither of those things after all. perhaps it really is that simple - or perhaps he's lying.

Tony looks at the other man and can't shake the feeling that there's something wrong and not that he was just think of his new book but he decides that it's not the time to have a battle with the man and he really wasn't in the listening mood or at least not to something heavy. He looks at the other man and nods his head "Sure you can tell me about your new book, sounds interesting though don't expect to much input from me other than the opinion of a reader cause I don't know jack shit about writing the things." Tony chuckles and glances toward the window, looking at the rain beating against the panes "It's really coming down out there."

He turns his full attention back to Dorian, looking the man over to see if he was anymore back down to earth than he was a minute ago and finds this confirmed by the look in his eyes. They were more awake now than before so he counted that as a win. Tony shakes his head "You know it's okay if you want to stare at the great unknown for a couple of minutes but that was almost half an hour without any kind of movement except to breath. It was kinda starting to freak me out." He shrugs, tilting his head to the side "But it could have been worse for you, you could have come back to earth to my face."

It was far from the first time he'd been incapacitated like this during a hit... but, it had been a long, long while since it'd been severe enough to prevent him from stumbling --- or even crawling --- his way back to his apartment and cleaning himself up. Here he was, sat in an alley. Back to a filthy wall, unable to move, staining the already dirty concrete under him a deep crimson... and fully expecting for someone with a grudge to come by and finish him off.

So, when the sound of approaching footsteps reached his ears, Wraith steeled himself for another blazing, ripping pain... only for a familiar face to come around the corner instead. And the concern on said features prompted him to scrawl that first message, slowly fallowed by another at the question posed: ' Shot. In the leg. I'll survi - ' Word cut off mid-writing. A frown --- beyond pain --- stretched across the assassin's features at Elio's sudden, unexpected offer... one that didn't make sense, and seemed too good to be true. But, when did Wraith have anything to lose?

Pencil met paper, again. ' Ok. You can. '

Without being asked, she sinks to the ground beside him, bending her long legs into a cross-legged position as she leans her back against the cool wall. For a moment, she says nothing at all, simply sitting beside him in silence in the dim light of the room. They must have been deaf, I was screaming so loud. The memory comes flooding back to her at his late-night confession. No one had shown up for her either. "Sometimes, it's hard to hear the cries of others when we are overwhelmed by our own pain.." She offers him a better reason, a kinder one than the truth she had once been faced with.

There was a rare gentleness in those unusual eyes of hers as Alena turned her head to look at him, a shadow of that smile of hers as she tried to meet his eyes. " I can't promise to always be able to fix it..but if you talk to me I'll try my best to be here for you. "

"Hey, hey." Grabbing onto his face with both hands, she pulled him in close, staring him in the eyes. "Just take a deep breath with me, ok?"

Taking a deep breath in, she watched him before breathing out. "In, out, just like that, hm?" She repeated the motion again until he finally started to follow along, a breathy sigh escaping her lips.

"Much better. Just keep doing that. Keep following me."

"I hate to break it to you but.." Annie reached out to pat his shoulder gently, a small frown on her face. "You look pretty alive to me. Or as alive as you usually look at the very least."

She didn't know what had happened to him this time, though she was sure he'd tell her once he got his head straight again. "You ok?"
