hi i released an idle game called Settlemoon and you should try it out here

it's got bugs (like the insect kind) and little guys you can fling around with your mouse cursor

you make buildings for adventurers to visit, and post quests for them to beat. It's like a reverse RPG; they're doing the fighting, you're paying them for it and selling them the equipment.

it's deliberately not like the clicker genre in that it tries to avoid keeping you hooked on it. the optimal way to play it is to set things up and do something else for a few hours. like if you're gonna go to bed or go to work or something

it's got an actual story, too! we've gotten multiple folks saying it's an idle game that actually made them cry by the time they beat it.

we worked very hard on it and i think it turned out really well!!!!!! i'm biased though lol

I need people to play Settlemoon. Please play Settlemoon. I promise you with all my heart that you will not ever regret playing Settlemoon. It's such a good game, it's an idle game that is genuinely very, very good, and I've fallen asleep to the music that plays a number of times. It's very, very cozy, and it's wonderful to have running in the background for nice ambience. It's a wonderful, wonderful game, and I need others to play it.

What's your current hyperfixation?

I am back on the grind of this cute little indie game called Settlemoon I have like 200+ hours in it haha

It's an idle game where you run a town for a fictional mmorpg. So like, you run the shops and organize the quests for "players" and decorate the town. It's really cute. I've actually played through it three times already, but it's great background noise while I'm grading and they've added new things since last time I played. I like watching all the little guys run around and buy stuff.

My Dearest Eliza,

I write to you on this, the 6th of August. I hope that my letter finds you well.

It is three months now since our campaign against the darkness began. The blood-colored moon that hangs in the sky seems a constant companion watching over our efforts to learn what exactly it is that we are meant to be doing here.

Two days back, we received missives - not the first that we have found, and yet more informative than any that have come before. Would that we had this information at the start of this conflict, spelled out in plain English rather than the runic language of the local inhabitants of this place.

But alas, these pamphlets come too late. Our troops are caught in conflict with the giant nightmare snake, but to little avail. I begin to fear that we shall never see the much needed spoils of that victory.

All I can do at this point is to continue to repurpose the plentiful slimeballs that our soldiers bring back from their conquests into various potions, alcohol, and donuts. I pray that the day soon comes when the giant nightmare snake is defeated, and we come one step closer to peace.
