SatelliteTVs never charges setup fees!
Many Dish Retailers out there just want to make a quick buck. These retailers will make the service appear cheaper and then charge you up to $49.99 for the privilege of setting up your Dish Network service with them.
Just look at this shady retailer horror story from my3cents.com:
They took $49.99 Of my card and I never seen the $1.00 That they took out when they did the credit check. I told them not to take money out for service because I was just calling to see if it was cheaper then Comcast. She told me no ms we will not do that until you call us back to set up service, I did not go threw with it because they did not offer internet in my area and it was dial up not high speed. They never called me in to weeks to see if I wanted to set a date and time to get service hooked up but they took the money with no problem after they said they will not take until I call back. Now they saying it will take 3-5 days to get back on my card and when I called the lady was real nasty and loud to me I asked to talk to her boss she put me on hold for 10-15 min then picked the phone up and then it was hung up.

Unfortunately, SatelliteTVs receives calls from people experiencing this same thing all the time! It is really sad that these disreputable scammers will take advantage of potential Dish Network customers but it happens all the time.
What these creeps know is that honest hardworking people will rarely complain to the point of them actually getting in trouble. Often times you won't realize you didn't get their retailer name until AFTER you've been screwed.
