Dr. Pankaj Naram Seva Foundation Celebrated at Italian Gala Event
The Dr. Pankaj Naram Seva Foundation recently got a helpful boost from European supporters. On June 13th, 2016, dynamic Italian radio journalist Abha Valentina Lo Surdo decided to use her birthday as an occasion to rent a 600 seat theater in Rome, to host a ‘Celebration of Life’ fundraiser. Proceeds went to support the Dr Pankaj Naram Seva Foundation’s efforts with orphans in Nepal (still recovering from the devastating earthquakes).
In April 2015 a huge earthquake in Nepal killed more than 8,000 people and injured 21,000 more, leaving the country devastated. Tragically, ancient temple sites, and housing for hundreds of thousands of people were leveled to the ground. Some of the people left stranded were the children of the Dada Guan orphan home, who thankfully made it outside before their home crumbled into pieces before their eyes.
For months they lived in tents, struggling with sanitation and symptoms of PTSD.
Dr. Pankaj Naram is a master healer who has helped more than 1 million people from over 108 countries, including people like the Dali Lama, Mother Teresa, and thousands of the 9-11 firefighters and first responders. Dr Pankaj Naram has a particular interest in Nepal, because many of the ancient scriptures his master gave him with the secrets to health, peace, and happiness, came from the himalayas. In traveling throughout Nepal, Tibet, and India Dr Pankaj Naram felt compelled to start a foundation to help all of the orphans who needed real help – one of the main projects being the Dada Gaun orphan home. Dr Pankaj Naram was also in Nepal helping when the second earthquake struck, and saw first hand the terror and destruction it brought.
Thanks to loving people like Abha, and the Dr Pankaj Naram Seva Foundation, these kids are getting their lives back again.
