seven7management Busy few weeks here at HQ!
@louist91’s Faith In The Future World Tour has wrapped up after over a year on the road, finishing in Latin America. Getting straight back to it though with his first (of many) festival appearances over the Summer. First one down, @pinkpopfest last weekend 🚌
Plus the yearly instalment of the @awayfromhomefestival rolled into Mérida, Mexico last weekend with special guests @rodrigolealr, @abbieabbiemac, @dyl.an, @reverend_makers, @kevinkaarl, @dmasmusic and of course the main man himself @louist91. ☀️
seven7management It’s almost the weekend but first… @Louist91 has had a busy week smashing his set at @tecatepalnorte alongside Blink 182 and more, to an enormous crowd. Louis then touched down in Brazil, Chile and Argentina ahead of his Latin America Tour. We are beyond excited to have the @awayfromhomefestival announce Mérida, Mexico as it’s location for the fourth instalment on 8th June.

Hi! So there is like this rumor(?) that HL is going to be under the same management. i don't really freaking get that. I thought they already were? Or is Louis going to be like fully under SONY? Please explain this. Thank you xxx
Hi dear,
I haven’t seen any rumor about them having the same management. Harry’s management is Full Stop Management and CAA, and we haven’t seen anything to suggest Louis is hiring them.
Harry and Louis do not have the same management company. The only time they did have the same company was when they were in 1D, since the band’s management company was Modest.
Sony is a record label. That is a different thing entirely from a management company.
A record label promotes, distributes and sells an artist’s music. When you hear that Harry signed an $80M record deal, it means Columbia agreed to invest $80M into Harry being an artist and recording music. It does not mean he got paid $80M to record albums. In fact, he has to pay Columbia back. Whatever money is leftover after expenses and paying them back is what he personally makes from his music.
A management company advocates for the artist’s wishes, negotiates projects on the artist’s behalf, and manages day-today dealings of the business of being in music. That includes a multitude of things, such as working with people in touring agencies, publicists, and record labels to help negotiate or broker deals on behalf of the client (the artist, aka Harry/Louis). Their scope is all encompassing, and it involves all aspects of being in the music industry. They manage things from merch, events, shows, TV/radio appearances to movie deals, sponsorships, brand connections, marketing, image etc.
1D was under Sony, because Syco, who was 1D’s record label, was a subsidiary of Sony Music.
When they went solo, Harry signed with Columbia Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music. Louis signed with Syco, a subsidiary of Sony Music. So they were both under the Sony umbrella. Louis’ current record label is unknown at this time as he is not under Syco anymore - their contract has ended/been terminated.
As far as we know Louis still has the same management as when he signed with them in July 19th 2018:
Mark Gillespie and Matt Vines for management. Mark Gillespie is the founder of LA-based Three Six Zero Group and Matt Vines of Seven 7 is TSZG’s former VP of Artist Management in the UK.
So to summarize:
Harry is a solo musician and actor signed to Columbia Records, which is a part of Sony Music. He is represented by Full Stop Management and CAA.
Louis is a solo musician who currently does not have a publicly known label he’s signed to because he parted ways with Syco. He is represented by Three Six Zero Group and Seven 7.
Hope this helps.
I’m new and I gather most of Louis’ fans loathe Chris Frewin - can you bring me up to speed on what he’s done please!? Many thanks
oh dear.. well yeah Chris’ big terrible "crime" is - and you’ll think I’m joking.. - being one of Louis’ managers. apparently an alarmingly large part of this fandom live in some kinda fantasy land (/2015) where all management is "bad" and where it’s not weird ass behaviour to be hating on everyone louis chooses to work with… 🙃
anyway Chris is employed by Seven 7 and part of Louis’ management team. he has previously worked as a marketing talent manager at Syco (he left when louis left in 2020) and then briefly as talent manager at an agency called 84 World before joining Seven 7 and Louis’ team in mid-2021.
other than that we really know very little about him. he’s around a lot when Louis is working, be it promo, tour or in the studio. but Louis also seems to enjoy his company even when he isn’t working so.. make your own conclusions. in my opinion people who "loathe" him are ridiculous. but hey if anyone can give me an actual legitimate reason to dislike him.. my inbox is open.
