Seungcheol usually doesn't like being away from you for longer than 4-5 hours. But now that you're pregnant with his child, he absolutely despises even just thinking about leaving you alone. Every message and every call he gets while you're seperated makes his heart race, always immediately jumping to the worst possible conclusions ever, when in reality it's mostly just updates on how you're/the baby is feeling or some other random things.
Today is no different. Seungcheol had to fly out to Mexico to perform on the Tecate Pa'l Norte, which meant leaving you alone at home for at least 3 days. Like the amazing husband he is, he checked on you at least 3 times every hour. You couldn't lie and say it wasn't a bit annoying, having to reassure him every 5 minutes, but you knew that he was just worried about you and your little one.
You also couldn't lie about the fact that having him not home made simple everyday tasks a lot harder. Your bump was at the point where you couldn't even reach down to tie your shoes anymore, so how were you supposed to do all of the household chores alone? The first thought was to wait for Seungcheol to return and let him do it, but you knew that he'd be tired after this trip so you decided to spare him.
After a really exhausting day of doing the most basic things like unloading the dishwasher and doing the laundry, you ran yourself a warm bubble bath to help your body finally relax a bit. With the water engulfing your sore body, you almost immediately got lost in thoughts. Thinking about how amazing your husband is taking care of you, doesn't matter if you're pregnant or not. As long as you're with him you're safe and everything is perfect.
Bursting through the door, Seungcheol entered your shared apartment, calling out for you. Smelling the scent of your favourite bathing salt in the air, he knew where to find you. He made his way towards the bathroom, announcing him showing up so he wouldn't take you by suprise. "Love? I'm home!!" he said and opened the bathroom door, pulling you out of your little trance.
"You're back!!" you happily said and smiled at him. He kneeled down besides the tub and reached out to give you a kiss. "I missed you so much" he said and hugged you, nuzzling his head into the crook of your neck. "Cheollie I'm soaking wet stop it! You're getting water everywhere!!" you laughed. He pulled away, pouting right in your face until you gave in and let him hold you. "Listen, how 'bout you let me get out and put some clothes on and then we can cuddle as much as you want. Is that okay?" "That sounds good yeah, I'll wait for you in the living room" he said and gave you a quick kiss before he left.
You quickly dried yourself off and changed into some comfy pyjamas and made your way to the living room. There he was, your beloved husband sitting on the couch, some food placed on the table in front of it. "I brought some dinner" he smiled at you. You began eating and talking about his trip to Mexico. He told you all about the people, the festival, their own act and just how fantastic it was there in general. "Let me throw this away I'll be right back" he said and placed a kiss on your temple, before leaving to throw out the food wrappings.
When he plopped down on the couch again, he immediately wrapped his arms around you, trapping you in his hold. "You can't believe how much I missed youuuu" he said while placing soft kisses all over your face. "And you too baby" he said while placing one of his hands on your stomach, gently rubbing it. "You didn't do anything exhausting right??" he asked. You were debating whether you tell him or not.
"No I didn't.." you lied straight into his face. "Really? Then why is the whole apartment literally spotless clean? Or why was there no laundry when I entered the bathroom earlier?" he shot you a knowing look., making you feel a bit guilty. "Look I'm sorry. I just didn't want you having to deal with all of this right after coming back from this trip.." you said, avoiding his gaze.
"Baby, I'm not mad at you. I'm just incredibly worried about you and our baby. I couldn't let anything bad happen to one of you. I love you with everything I have and am, so please let me support you as much as you need. I want to help you, you're literally the reason I'm going to be a dad. You literally made my wish come true and I couldn't imagine my life with anyone but you by my side." he said while holding your hand, his other hand carefully grabbing your chin making you look at him.
"You're my wife and the reason for my being. I could never be mad at you and you know that. I love you so much my love" he said before giving you a sweet kiss, grinning like an idiot after pulling away. He looked at his watch and sighed. "As much as I'd love to keep talking with you, we have to rest. Let's get some sleep shall we?" he said. You just nodded and followed him into the bedroom.
You laid down on your side of the bed, waiting for him to get in bed too. When you felt his side dip down you turned around to lay face to face with him. "I missed falling asleep next to you" he said while brushing your hair out of your face. "What did you not miss about me?" you giggled, scooting closer until your head was resting against his chest. "Fair, but how could I not miss the love of my life??" he laughed before kissing the top of your head.
"Good night my wonderful wife." he smiled to himself.

A Guide to How Seventeen Would Fall in Love
Choi Seungcheol (S.Coups) –
Seungcheol doesn’t fall in love all at once. For him, it’s gradual, layered, and almost imperceptible at first, because he’s always thinking, always leading, always aware of everyone else.
At the start, it’s subtle. He notices the little things: how YN laughs when someone makes a joke, the way she tucks her hair behind her ear absentmindedly during practice, the way her eyes light up when she’s genuinely curious about something. He files these moments away, almost subconsciously.
He doesn’t let himself think too much about it he’s the leader. Responsibilities, schedules, and the weight of guiding thirteen people leave little room for distractions like “feelings.” But then, tiny sparks start appearing.
The first real moment he notices is probably during a late-night practice. Everyone else is tired, bodies slumping, and YN is lingering behind, adjusting choreography or asking for feedback. Seungcheol catches her gaze, and she smiles a soft, tired smile that’s not for the cameras, not for anyone else, just genuine. Something in his chest tightens, unfamiliar and confusing.
Over time, he begins looking for her in the little ways: catching glimpses of her during rehearsals, sharing quiet moments in the studio when others are joking or chaotic, noticing when she seems a little off or quietly stressed. He starts thinking about her when he’s alone, wondering if she’s had breakfast, if she slept enough, if she’s okay.
When he finally realizes it really realizes it he’s not sure how long it’s been coming. But he’s careful. He doesn’t rush, doesn’t force it. With Seungcheol, falling in love is about attention, protection, and quiet thoughtfulness.
He’ll do things without announcing them: making sure she has water during rehearsals, walking with her to the practice room even if it’s out of his way, lingering to talk to her after everyone else leaves. He wants her to feel safe, comfortable, and seen because that’s how he knows love, not by grand gestures, but by consistency.
When he does tell her because he will it’s slow, steady. Maybe they’re alone in the studio after practice, the room quiet except for the hum of the AC and the faint music leftover from rehearsal. He leans against the wall, hands in his pockets, voice low but firm.
“YN… I think I’ve been feeling this for a while. I just… I like you. I like you a lot. And I don’t want to mess it up, so I’m saying it carefully.”
He gives her time to respond, because he’s patient, because that’s how he loves. And when she smiles soft, shy, a little breathless something inside him relaxes, like a weight he didn’t know he was carrying is finally gone.
With Seungcheol, love is steady. It’s quiet gestures, attention to the small things, loyalty, and protection. It’s falling in love slowly, noticing someone in the cracks of ordinary moments, and finally admitting it with the same calm, unwavering confidence he leads the group with.
Yoon Jeonghan –
Jeonghan falls in love in whispers and quiet moments, the way someone might notice a light flickering in a dark room. At first, he doesn’t even realize it’s love he just notices how being around YN feels… easy. Comforting. Something he didn’t know he needed.
It starts subtly. He notices the way YN fidgets when she’s nervous, the way she tilts her head when she’s curious, the gentle rise and fall of her laughter. It’s not loud or showy, just small things that make him pause mid-thought.
He finds himself remembering things she said days ago. A silly joke she made during rehearsal. The way she carefully organizes her things. The soft, almost imperceptible way she hums when she’s concentrating. It’s those tiny details that begin to root themselves in his chest.
Unlike Seungcheol, Jeonghan doesn’t act immediately. He observes, often from a distance, letting himself feel without rushing. He notices when she’s tired, when she’s quietly stressed, and sometimes he silently tries to ease it an extra jacket when she forgets hers, an extra snack when he sees she’s skipped lunch. He doesn’t make a fuss; he just does it.
Love grows slowly in him, like ink spreading through water. He starts craving her presence, not because he needs it, but because she calms something inside him that even he doesn’t fully understand. He’ll sit a little longer in the studio just to watch her focus, listen when she talks, and laugh softly at the things that make her genuinely happy.
When Jeonghan finally admits it, it’s quiet, unhurried, almost shy. Maybe they’re sitting together in the lounge, the world outside noisy and bright, and he reaches out just slightly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. His voice is low, tender, carrying weight without drama.
“YN… I think… I’ve been feeling this for a while. I like you. More than I realized at first.”
He doesn’t need to say more; his eyes, calm and soft, say everything. And when YN smiles small, gentle, maybe a little surprised—he feels a strange, warm relief. It’s the first time he allows himself to hope without restraint.
With Jeonghan, love is quiet devotion. It’s subtle gestures, thoughtfulness, and patience. It’s noticing the little things, treasuring them, and finally letting her know in the softest way that he’s completely, irrevocably invested.
Hong Joshua –
Joshua falls in love quietly, like the sunrise creeping over the horizon slow, inevitable, and impossible to ignore once it’s there. He doesn’t rush; he observes, listens, and absorbs every detail about YN.
At first, it’s small things that catch him off guard. The way YN tilts her head when she’s curious, how she quietly hums while doing something mundane, the subtle warmth in her smile when someone makes her genuinely happy. He doesn’t realize he’s fallen yet; he just notices that being around her makes the world feel softer, calmer, more… right.
Joshua is the type to care before he admits it. He remembers the little things she says, the things she likes, what calms her when she’s stressed. He notices her exhaustion before anyone else, offering tea without a word, fetching blankets when she’s cold, sitting beside her even if it’s just for silence. These gestures aren’t grand they’re quiet, thoughtful, and full of meaning.
He finds himself thinking about her often. When he’s walking between practice rooms, he wonders if she’s eating enough. When he’s lying awake at night, he recalls the sound of her laughter from earlier in the day. When something funny happens, he can’t wait to tell her first. It’s gradual, almost unnoticed, but it builds steadily until one day he realizes he can’t picture his days without her presence.
Joshua doesn’t rush confessions. When he finally speaks, it’s soft, gentle, almost hesitant but unwavering in truth. Maybe they’re sitting on the balcony after practice, city lights flickering in the distance. He reaches for her hand not forcefully, just enough to let her feel it.
“YN… I think I’ve felt this for a while, and I can’t keep it to myself anymore. I like you… a lot. More than I thought I would.”
His voice is steady, but his heart races anyway. He waits, giving her all the time she needs, and when she smiles soft, maybe shy, but full of warmth it’s as if the world finally tilts into the right place.
With Joshua, love is gentle devotion. It’s patience, thoughtfulness, and consistent care. It’s small, intimate moments comforting gestures, quiet conversations, shared silences that build into something undeniable. He loves slowly, fully, and with every intention of protecting the space they share together.
Wen JunHui –
Jun falls in love in layers sometimes softly, sometimes like a rush he can’t control. At first, he doesn’t even realize it’s love. He just notices YN more than anyone else: the way she laughs at small, silly things, how she always tries to help without being asked, the gentle patience she shows even when the group is chaotic.
He’s the type to tease first, subtly, testing boundaries and seeing how she reacts. But every joke, every playful nudge, is also a way to linger a little longer, to get closer without saying it outright. He finds himself timing walks to match hers, lingering behind in the studio just to watch her focus, and quietly making sure she’s okay when no one else notices.
Jun is observant he notices the smallest shifts in her mood. The tired slump of her shoulders after a long day, the way her brows furrow when she’s thinking too hard, the quiet sigh when she’s overwhelmed. And in those moments, his heart tightens. He wants to help, protect, and maybe even carry some of her burdens without her asking.
When he realizes he’s in love, it hits him in a quiet, steady way. He can’t imagine leaving her behind in his thoughts anymore. She’s become the one he thinks about first when he wakes, the one whose smile lingers in his mind long after she’s gone. And for once, he feels both vulnerable and exhilarated all at once.
Jun doesn’t rush into grand confessions. His love is playful, teasing, yet deeply sincere. Maybe it comes out one night during a quiet practice break, when she’s sitting cross-legged on the studio floor, exhausted. He plops down beside her, nudges her shoulder, and grins:
“YN… I think I like you. Like… a lot.”
He doesn’t force her to respond immediately, but he watches her carefully, hoping she’ll smile back. And when she does soft, warm, maybe a little shy his teasing grin falters into something more genuine, more honest. He leans closer, almost whispering:
“I’m not joking. I really like you.”
With Jun, love is playful and persistent, full of small gestures, gentle teasing, and unwavering attention. It’s noticing her in ways no one else does, quietly supporting her, and expressing affection through both words and actions. Falling for YN is slow, beautiful, and completely consuming but always in that soft, patient way that only Jun can do.
Kwon Soonyoung (Hoshi) –
Hoshi falls in love with YN in bursts of warmth and energy, though at first, he doesn’t realize it’s love at all. To him, it starts like an extension of his curiosity: he notices how she moves, the little things she does during practice, the way she laughs even when everyone else is exhausted. He finds himself wanting to make her smile more than anyone else, not realizing how much she’s already becoming part of his world.
He’s playful and loud by nature, so his first interactions are often teasing nudging her during rehearsal, joking about her habits, challenging her to keep up with him during dance practice. But behind all the laughter is an attentiveness that not everyone sees. He watches her when she’s tired, making sure she’s hydrated, reminding her to eat, or grabbing a spare hoodie when it’s cold.
Hoshi falls in love through moments of shared energy. When they laugh together over something ridiculous, when they push through exhaustion and still cheer each other on, he feels a warmth spreading in his chest. The realization hits him quietly one night when everyone else has left the studio: he stays behind, watching her carefully, noticing the subtle way she’s focused on what she’s doing, how serene she looks despite the long day. That’s when he knows it’s more than admiration, more than friendship.
When Hoshi finally admits his feelings, it’s both energetic and sincere. Maybe they’re goofing around in the practice room, the echo of music still faint in the background. He grabs her hand suddenly, almost clumsily, and grins, eyes sparkling but serious:
“YN… I can’t keep pretending this is just friendship. I like you. I really, really like you.”
Even with his vibrant personality, there’s a moment of vulnerability he’s giving her a piece of his heart. And when she smiles back, maybe a little shy, maybe a little teasing, he beams, as if the world has suddenly aligned perfectly.
With Hoshi, love is lively, warm, and protective. It’s expressed through gestures of care hidden beneath energy and jokes, through watching over her without making it obvious, and through shared moments of joy that leave both of them smiling long after. Falling in love with YN is a burst of sunshine, a rhythm that energizes him and grounds him all at once.
Jeon Wonwoo –
Wonwoo falls in love quietly, almost imperceptibly. He doesn’t notice at first it sneaks up on him like a soft shadow. It starts with small details: the way YN’s fingers brush over her notebook when she’s thinking, the subtle tilt of her head when she’s listening, the calm patience she shows when the group is chaotic. Little moments that seem insignificant to anyone else but slowly accumulate in his mind.
He’s thoughtful and analytical, so he processes his feelings internally for a long time. He notices when she’s tired, when she’s overworked, or when she seems stressed even before anyone else does. He’ll stay nearby, quietly supportive, offering a drink, a blanket, or just a reassuring glance. He doesn’t need to say much; actions speak louder than words.
Wonwoo finds himself thinking about her constantly, though he rarely admits it out loud. He’s aware of the little ways she impacts him how a smile from her can calm his anxiety, how her laugh lingers in his mind, how the simplest conversations make the weight of the day lighter. It’s subtle, steady, and entirely consuming.
When he finally admits his feelings, it’s understated but sincere. Maybe they’re alone in the practice room late at night, the echo of music fading behind them. He leans against the wall, hands tucked in his pockets, voice low but steady:
“YN… I think… I’ve liked you for a while. I just didn’t realize it until recently. I like you. A lot.”
He doesn’t demand a response, just waits, steady and patient, because that’s how he loves. And when YN smiles softly, maybe a little shy, he lets himself relax for the first time, feeling a quiet happiness that isn’t loud but resonates deep in his chest.
With Wonwoo, love is quiet, steady, and protective. It’s expressed through observation, thoughtful gestures, and subtle support. Falling in love is slow and deliberate, like the way he approaches life itself measured, careful, but completely wholehearted.
Lee Jihonn (Woozi) –
Woozi falls in love quietly, internally, almost like a melody that slowly becomes the center of a song he didn’t realize he was composing. He doesn’t notice it immediately it sneaks in between his thoughts about lyrics, choreography, and schedules. At first, it’s a small awareness: the way YN hums softly when she’s concentrating, the way her eyes light up when she understands something new, the little ways she supports the group without being asked.
He’s meticulous by nature, so he observes everything about her. He notices the subtle changes when she’s tired, when she’s stressed, or when she’s particularly happy. Sometimes he finds himself adjusting his schedule to make sure she’s okay offering her tea, sharing snacks, or lingering near her during practice just to check she’s comfortable. He doesn’t make it obvious, but his attention is constant and deliberate.
Woozi falls in love in small, cumulative moments. He treasures the quiet conversations, the rare moments when the group’s chaos fades and it’s just the two of them talking softly. He notices when she’s vulnerable, when she’s quiet, and he instinctively wants to protect that part of her. Slowly, he realizes that his thoughts almost always circle back to her.
When he finally admits it, it’s careful, precise, and sincere. Maybe they’re alone in the studio after everyone has left, music still lingering faintly in the air. He takes a deep breath, looking at her intently:
“YN… I think I’ve liked you for longer than I realized. I… care about you a lot. More than I can put into words.”
He doesn’t push or demand a response. He’s patient, knowing that love is as much about timing as it is about honesty. And when YN smiles at him, soft and gentle, he allows himself a rare, unguarded moment of relief and happiness, like a melody resolving perfectly.
With Woozi, love is thoughtful, steady, and protective. It’s expressed through small, deliberate gestures, quiet attention, and deep care. Falling in love is a process of noticing, understanding, and cherishing someone fully, even in the spaces between everyday life and the chaos of schedules.
Lee Seokmin (Dokyeom) –
DK falls in love in bursts of warmth and brightness, though it sneaks up on him quietly at first. He doesn’t notice right away that his feelings are more than friendship he just notices that being around YN makes his days lighter, his smiles bigger, and his laughter easier.
It starts with little things: the way she laughs at his silly jokes, how she encourages the members when they’re tired, or the way she’s genuinely curious about everything around her. He notices how she treats others with kindness and patience, and he finds himself thinking, Wow… she’s incredible.
Seokmin is naturally expressive, so his first “signals” of love are obvious: lingering glances, teasing comments, and an extra eagerness to help her with things. But underneath his energy, there’s thoughtfulness. He notices when she’s tired or stressed, offering snacks, water, or a quick pep talk. He can’t help himself he wants her to be happy and cared for, and it makes him smile just to see her smile.
The moment he realizes he’s in love hits him during a normal day. Maybe they’re practicing late at night, everyone else has left, and YN is quietly humming while finishing something. He pauses, watching her, and it suddenly clicks he can’t imagine his days without her presence. She’s become essential, like sunlight creeping through the blinds.
When he finally confesses, it’s full of warmth, sincerity, and a little nervous energy:
“YN… I’ve… I really like you. Like, a lot. And I can’t stop thinking about you, so I thought… I should tell you.”
He waits, fidgeting slightly, but smiles encouragingly when she meets his eyes. When she smiles back, soft and genuine, his heart soars. He reaches out instinctively, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, and grins like the world just became brighter.
With DK, love is open, warm, and overflowing. It’s expressive gestures, teasing words, and pure, genuine care. Falling in love is immediate in feeling but patient in approach he’s there to make her laugh, lift her spirits, and let her know she’s deeply cherished, every single day.
Kim Mingyu –
Mingyu falls in love in subtle waves sometimes bold, sometimes quiet but always with a certain sincerity that slowly becomes undeniable. At first, he doesn’t realize it’s love. He just notices that YN occupies his thoughts more often than anyone else, that her presence makes the day feel lighter, and that her laugh is one of the first things he wants to hear in the morning.
He notices everything about her, in his own way. The way she concentrates, the little gestures she makes when she’s nervous, or the way she quietly encourages others around her. Mingyu’s attention is careful, protective. He finds himself stepping in before she even realizes she needs help holding a door, offering a drink, or subtly making her laugh when she looks stressed.
Mingyu’s confidence often makes him appear bold, but when it comes to love, he’s surprisingly thoughtful. He teases her lightly, making jokes and nudging her gently, but there’s always an undercurrent of care. He wants her to know she’s safe around him, that she can lean on him, even without words.
The moment he truly realizes he’s in love is quiet but impactful. Maybe they’re sitting on a rooftop after practice, city lights twinkling around them. She’s speaking softly about her day, and he notices the way her eyes light up when she talks about something she loves. In that instant, Mingyu feels a warmth in his chest, a protective, steady feeling that he can’t ignore. He’s in love.
When he finally tells her, it’s confident yet tender. He leans slightly closer, voice calm but sincere:
“YN… I like you. More than I realized before. I’ve liked you for a while, and I don’t want to hide it anymore.”
He doesn’t rush her, letting her take her time, but his gaze is full of warmth and care. When she smiles softly, Mingyu feels a rush of relief and happiness, like everything is exactly where it should be.
With Mingyu, love is confident, protective, and steady. It’s bold gestures softened by thoughtfulness, teasing that masks tenderness, and a constant, unwavering presence. Falling in love is a balance of warmth, reliability, and subtle attention, showing YN every day that she is cherished and safe.
Xu Minghao (The8)–
Minghao falls in love quietly, like a slow river carving its path steady, patient, and deep. At first, he doesn’t even realize it’s love. He just notices that YN’s presence has a peculiar effect on him: she draws his attention naturally, makes him feel calmer, and somehow makes the world feel lighter when she’s near.
He notices the little things: how she focuses on details others overlook, the soft way she smiles when she’s amused, the tiny gestures of kindness she offers without anyone asking. Minghao observes quietly, cataloging these moments in his mind, not out of calculation but out of genuine admiration.
He’s careful with his emotions. Unlike others who might rush, The8 waits, studies the rhythm of her days, the way she interacts with the members, the subtle shifts in her mood. When she’s tired, he might silently adjust something placing a water bottle near her, offering a small snack, or walking beside her to make sure she’s okay. His care is understated but constant.
Minghao realizes he’s in love during a rare moment of stillness. Maybe it’s after practice, everyone else has left, and YN is quietly tidying up. He watches, noticing the soft concentration in her eyes, the way she carries herself with quiet grace. It hits him then: he wants to be there for her, always, and the thought of her being happy fills him with a warmth he can’t ignore.
When he finally admits his feelings, it’s calm, gentle, and deliberate. Maybe they’re sitting on the rooftop, night wind tousling their hair, city lights glowing in the distance. He reaches for her hand slowly, giving her time to react, and says in his soft, measured tone:
“YN… I like you. I’ve liked you quietly for a while. I just… I wanted you to know.”
He doesn’t demand a response; his presence itself is reassuring. When she smiles back, perhaps a little shyly, Minghao feels a deep, steady happiness, the kind that anchors him.
With Minghao, love is calm, patient, and observant. It’s expressed through quiet care, consistent presence, and thoughtful gestures. Falling in love is gradual, understated, but unwavering he notices everything about YN, cherishes her without words, and slowly lets her into his steady, dependable world.
Boo Seungkwan –
Seungkwan falls in love loudly in the heart but softly in the soul. At first, he doesn’t even realize it’s love it starts with admiration, with noticing the way YN carries herself, how her laughter is bright and infectious, how she lights up even the dullest days. Her kindness, her wit, and the way she notices little things about people draw him in before he even realizes he’s falling.
He’s naturally expressive and emotional, so his affection shows in bursts: teasing jokes, playful nudges, and exaggerated compliments that make her laugh. But underneath that humor, there’s a careful attentiveness. He notices when she’s tired, stressed, or upset, and without being asked, he offers small comforts a snack, a warm drink, or simply staying near her to offer support.
Seungkwan falls in love through connection. The way YN listens, the way she laughs, the way she interacts with the members he treasures these moments. He begins to find himself thinking about her when they’re apart, replaying her smile, her voice, her expressions in his head, realizing slowly that she’s become essential to his days.
When he finally admits his feelings, it’s heartfelt, full of energy but tinged with vulnerability. Maybe they’re sitting together in the lounge after practice, the rest of the group busy elsewhere. He reaches for her hand with a soft but determined smile:
“YN… I like you. I really, really like you. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I can’t keep it to myself anymore.”
He waits, voice gentle now, letting her absorb the words, and when she smiles back, maybe shyly, maybe warmly, his heart leaps. He lets out a small laugh of relief and leans a little closer, happy just to be near her.
With Seungkwan, love is expressive, warm, and deeply attentive. It’s shown in laughter, playful teasing, heartfelt words, and constant care. Falling in love is a mix of joy and sincerity he wants YN to feel cherished every day, and he makes sure she knows it, in every small gesture and every burst of emotion.
Chwe Hansol Vernon –
Vernon falls in love quietly, almost like a thought that keeps returning until it can’t be ignored. At first, he doesn’t even recognize it as love he just notices that YN is always on his mind, that her presence has a calming effect, and that her laughter, her smile, her subtle quirks, all linger in his thoughts long after they part ways.
He’s observant but reserved. He notices the little things: how she focuses on details others overlook, the way her eyes light up when she’s genuinely interested in something, the soft gestures she makes when she’s trying to be helpful. He pays attention because it matters, not because he wants anything in return.
Vernon falls in love through quiet moments. The shared silences, the late-night conversations, the subtle support he can offer when the group is busy all of it accumulates until he realizes he can’t ignore how much she means to him. He starts thinking about her when he’s walking alone, when he’s writing lyrics, or even when he’s just scrolling through his day.
When he finally admits it, it’s calm but sincere. Maybe they’re sitting together on a bench outside, city lights flickering faintly, the night quiet. He leans slightly toward her, voice soft, measured, but full of earnestness:
“YN… I think I’ve liked you for a while. More than I realized at first. I just… I wanted you to know.”
He doesn’t pressure her for a response, giving her time, because patience is part of how he loves. And when she smiles softly, perhaps shyly, he feels a warmth that settles in his chest, steady and grounding.
With Vernon, love is quiet, sincere, and protective. It’s expressed through thoughtfulness, small acts of care, and unwavering support. Falling in love is gradual, subtle, and entirely consuming he notices everything about YN, cherishes her presence, and slowly lets her into his world, fully and thoughtfully.
Lee Chan (Dino) –
Dino falls in love quietly at first, though his energy often betrays him. He doesn’t notice immediately that it’s love he just finds himself drawn to YN more than anyone else, noticing her smile, her gestures, the way she encourages others without being asked. Slowly, those small details start to take root in his heart.
He’s naturally energetic and playful, so the first hints of affection are subtle teases, light nudges, and playful jokes. But beneath that lively exterior is a deeply caring heart. Dino notices when YN is tired or stressed, offering water, snacks, or a reassuring smile. He lingers around her, sometimes shyly, sometimes openly, just to make sure she’s okay.
Dino falls in love through shared moments and laughter. The way she joins in on his playful antics, the way she listens when he talks, the quiet appreciation she shows him in fleeting glances all of it makes his heart swell in ways he doesn’t fully understand at first. Over time, he realizes he’s thinking about her constantly, and that he wants to protect her, make her smile, and be there for her in every way he can.
When he finally admits his feelings, it’s a mix of nervous energy and sincerity. Maybe they’re sitting together in a practice room after everyone else has left, lights dimmed. He fidgets slightly, scratching the back of his head, but his eyes are earnest:
“YN… I… I really like you. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I just… wanted you to know.”
He waits, heart pounding, and when she smiles back softly, warmly he lets out a small laugh of relief and leans a little closer, happy just to be near her.
With Dino, love is energetic, protective, and heartfelt. It’s expressed through playful gestures, quiet attentiveness, and genuine care. Falling in love is gradual, full of warmth and laughter, but deeply sincere he treasures every moment with YN and makes sure she feels that every day.
To 최 승철, @sound_of_coups My lovely leo, Forty-five days and forty-five photos of you taken from the lenses of others. I will exchange them all for this low quality screenshot I had of you. Seeing you look well-rested....would you believe that I've only done nothing but gaze at this clip of you since a while ago? My heart feels like bursting. I've been missing you for more than a month now and seeing your face like this... I realize that it's not the case. You are missing from me. It's like I was able to see a part of me again. I told you I'll start my year with you, right? You did. You visited me in my dreams. And it was a story I could not have fathomed. It gave me warmth and assurance. Thank you, Choi Seungcheol. Be with us this year, too. #getwellsoonscoups #scoups #seventeen #svt #세븐틴 #seungcheol #에슥쿱스 #weloveyouseungcheol #generalization_leader #hiphopleader #hiphopteamleader #seventeenleader #leaderscoups #brightafterrain #carat https://www.instagram.com/p/B6xZ9ZMgaOg/?igshid=13md0u1c0m7wt
To 최 승철, @sound_of_coups My lovely leo, I didn't get what I initially wanted but somehow, it doesn't bother me that much. Maybe it's because the motivation is lower than usual. But I will be there for them. For you. And if by any chance, you'll be well by then, then my heart is the most happy. I told you I fear today, right? I fear it...but for a whole different reason. Maybe these letters to you aren't just for you. Maybe it's for me to be at peace with myself, too. I'm scared. But I want to believe that we'll be safe. #getwellsoonscoups #scoups #seventeen #svt #세븐틴 #seungcheol #에슥쿱스 #weloveyouseungcheol #generalization_leader #hiphopleader #hiphopteamleader #seventeenleader #leaderscoups #brightafterrain #carat https://www.instagram.com/p/B7N6trRAem5/?igshid=dvj1zqh472pm
People tell you to stay strong. I also think that’s nice. It just means they hope the best for you.
But, hear me out. This is what I realized as I spent the past few days thinking.
Listen. It’s okay to be weak. It’s okay to let go of that strong facade and accept that there are some things bigger - stronger than you. It’s okay to be at your weakest point because by then, you’ll be able to know another side of you who needs love and care and assurance from the people around you, from yourself.
All your life you’ve known yourself to be the lion - the strong one, the protector.
But you are worthy of love, too. Everyone knows that.
I hope you know that as well. It’s day fifth. I hope you are eating and sleeping well.
