☁ Our muses in a thunderstorm.
It hadn’t been more than an hour since she’d left the palace in Sindria with its King but things had taken a turn for the worse. They’d been walking near the sea, when a sudden thunderstorm fell upon them, the cold rain clashing with their warm bodies and forcing them to take refuge in the nearest cave (which wasn’t as big as the princess had hoped it would).
In reality, she wasn’t as scared of the strong rain and lightning as she was of the man standing beside her. Don’t get me wrong; he was a wonderful man, very admirable and strong, and he shone brightly like the sun to everyone. She was in love with this man. But she could see some darkness past the sunny front, past the friendly smiles he gave out to people.
But she chose to ignore that.
The silence between them felt a little awkward for her, so she tried to engage in friendly conversation. “S-S-Sinbad-sama.” She started. “I-I’m so sorry I’m taking your time like this... I-I-If I hadn’t gone out for a walk in y-your company, y-you wouldn’t be... Trapped here right now...”
