oh, god. where do i begin. first, i suppose: savina & severa …. my poor, tragic girls. of course, i am the cause of their tragedy — still, they make my heart ache all the same. their birthday is february 29th, my sweet leap year babies, and so naturally i would celebrate that early by posting something horribly heartbreaking. i could ramble about them and the importance of their story to me, but i want to let the art speak for itself.

second, and most important of all: this breathtaking piece was done by one of the loveliest people in the world, and who i have the absolute honor & privilege of not only knowing but calling a friend: @alliezarin. yes, i know, ya’ll see us being ridiculous on main all the time. you guys are probably like we get it, you love her. however, i am going to force you to sit through another speech about it. from the start, even before we knew each other, allie has always been a joy to work with and an extraordinary artist. allie’s immeasurable talent is perhaps only outweighed by her endless compassion. she is so funny, and so kind, and so very, very wonderful. i will say it a million times, but i would urge anyone reading this to check out her blog, her ig, her twitter — all of which you can find on her carrd as well. her commission sheet is here on tumblr and can be found on her carrd too, but please note she’s soon to take a very well deserved break period. even if you’re unable to commission her, please take a look at her work. she deserves support in all of its forms, and it will not be a moment of your time wasted. aside from monetarily supporting artists, the importance of engagement cannot be understated, especially now, when things like ai art and theft are on the rise. likes, reblogs, comments, shares .. do your part if you can. please.

Hello dear! Here is your Slow/Secret Valentine!

First: What an annoying thing that Tumblr won’t let you answer asks properly… I heard about other people have this issue. For my part, I can say: if you need more time, or want to post an answer with just a screenshot of my question — do whatever works best for you. 🥺 I’ll keep sending questions, never mind if you can answer them sooner or later. Since I have a few more questions, I’ll send them after Valentine’s Day if you don’t mind. (The reveal could be delayed then…)

Now, my question…i could use some family lore now…hmm… The story about Savinas sister Severa… it is heartbreaking…i want to know more about her💔

1…. I would love to hear: what is Savina’s most meaningful memory (or memories) of her sister?

2… And a bit about Severa herself: is she Savina’s identical or fraternal twin?

tumblr was being so disrespectful!!! luckily i am now at my pc which means i am undefeatable. and that i'm going to subject all of us to the horrors. i love your questions, valentine!!!!

as much of a cop out as it might sound, to some degree, i think she'd say all of them. even the ones that aren't particularly happy. i don't think she quite means it—not in that she's intentionally lying when she says it for the sake of deceit. but it feels wrong to forsake any memory she shares with her sister at this point. peeling them apart into good and bad feels trivial when she's staring down eternity with a void where her sister once was. in this way, it could be said that she romanticizes things. she's not wholly unaware that she's doing it, but she makes the conscious choice not to acknowledge that she is. if someone were to say to her: surely they aren't all good memories?, or, surely you don't mean they're all that important? she would get very defensive. alternatively, i think it could be viewed as her understanding that all those moments of upset, anger, jealousy.. they really weren't worth it. all those things she'd held onto & allowed to draw a wedge in between her sister and herself mean nothing now. she hates herself for it.

severa & savina are identical twins, yes! as young children, they definitely played tricks by pretending to be one another... sort of. you could always kinda tell, if you looked at them for longer than a minute. severa was simply too loud, and savina too quiet, for them to manage the charade for long. and after severa got that scar on her nose, well.. anyway. BREAKING NEWS, SEVERA SCREENIES POSTED BELOW.. NINE DEAD COUNTLESS INJURED

to answer your question, though: severa is definitely more function versus form, but she's not totally without her own dedication to style and aesthetics. while she appreciates her sister's commitment to her appearance, severa is definitely a bit more laid back. she's the get up and go type and doesn't like to feel encumbered. she's cool wearing a dress, doesn't despise them, isn't the stereotypical type to gag at them. she just prefers being in things that feel easier for her to move in, day to day.

she might poke fun at savina on occasion about how much longer it takes her to get ready, how she always has to dress up, but it's pretty gentle needling, all things considered. severa understands why it's important to savina & her comfort. if someone else says something? severa will beat their ass. she does not play about her baby sister. and yes, despite only being a few minutes older, savina is her Baby Sister.

she'd be on gryffindor's quidditch team. haven't decided what position...

also? although severa can more often be the brusque one, and can come across more insensitive... savina ragebaits the absolute fuck out of her big sister and is So good at it

her modern style would be similarly alternative, but a different vibe. i think some 90s grunge, a lil dash of skater style, punk influence..

bonus: here's savina in her sister's clothes, trying to emulate her sister being ~cool~ or whatever ( challenge failed, skill issue. in my mind they're both alive here and severa is behind the camera like JUST LOOK COOL and savina is like I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞ )

generally speaking, severa’s grudges tend to be relatively short lived ( case dependent, but usually; the determining factor depends on the severity of offense. the largest exception to this rule is probably sebastian, on account of him being sebastian. ) and her reactions are immediate& loud. her anger is extroverted & brash. you may think that bc she seems from an outward perspective to be the more aggressively reactive of the twins, that she’s the one you have to worry about, but… you might want to keep an eye on the quiet one. even if she’s crying. perhaps especially when.

if you are not someone savina loves or otherwise cares for in some fashion, in which she has a terrible habit of turning a blind eye for, enabling, and forgiving — her grudges are immediate, immortal, and vicious. once she’s formed her opinion of you, there’s a 99.9% chance that not even an act of god will change her mind.

Tillie is so nice to the house elves that if anyone ever upset her, an entire elf army would be raised just to protecc her

ASSUMPTIONS CORRECT ON ALL ACCOUNTS! savina also, consequently, gets the first updates on any of the gossip going around before it even breaks, thanks to her portrait friends. severa absolutely is the type for a dramatic rivalry. what else is the point? she hates seb so yeah, we could say it’s him. but i actually need it to be a woman so they can angry kiss. and other things. tillie is the world’s largest house elf supporter…..she would give them all friendship bracelets…the great house elf uprising of the 1890s is in fact triggered by someone disrespecting tillie.
