“My dad didn't strut,” muttered Harry, and 20 seconds later Snape was showing Harry a memory of James strutting down the hall in heels.
“Say that again Potter I dare you.” without the heat, and with a subtle smirk.
“What? I’ve never seen you strut?” without thinking.
“...” (Harry starts to die inside)
Snape shows a memory of him in 4th year strutting, because Lily had taken him on a shopping trip (he was strutting down the hallway of the changing rooms btw because childhood fashion show), trying and failing to hide how much he was feeling via that statement.
