My nephew’s passed along a request from their cousin, asking if I would make him a snack size Thor. To which I said, “Of course!”

I contemplated Mjolner as a dangle attachment vs directly within the pattern vs a separate piece overlay. I’m glad I went with the third option, I feel it gives a little more to the figure as a whole.

Black Widow is finally here! Is anyone else excited? I chose to take all the major characters featured in the movie and design them based on their comic book appearances. And not to toot my own horn… but Taskmaster turned out adorable 💖.

Super Snack Size! Stitchtober (2020) Day 27: Prophecy

A time traveler Rama-Tut, who would later become know as Kang the Conqueror, knew Apocalypse was destined to rule the world as the most powerful mutant that ever lived. As such, he traveled back in time to find Apocalypse as a child, raise him, and fulfill said prophecy with Mutant as the superior race. Though of course not everything goes as predicted.

I wanted to play around and see if I could make his metal arm tubes with just some thread, instead of full stitches. Which the later I feel would have looked blocky and lost to the overall design. But I was able to achieve my goal with two strands of DMC thread and some Fray check!

I’m not MIA, just busy with my job and working on new character patterns.

I was suddenly inspired to do a calendar project with different characters for each day. I decided to do a generalized theme for the entire calendar, instead of specific themes for each day. More info to come soon!

I don’t know why but I convinced myself to use metallic floss for Doc Ock’s mechanical arms. Did I ever mention how much I hate metallic floss? No? Mmkay. Anyway, I have to say the floss does give more of a pop, so the struggle was worth it in the end.
