Me not dress up for Halloween? I can’t miss out on my favorite holiday🎃🐰🎃 In Surrey, it’s unfortunately not safe enough to trick or treat at night, so my university holds an event on campus for the local schools to trick or treat and visit the various faculties. I’ve been volunteering for this event since 2015, and this year we had over 700 K - 6 students participating this year. I decided to make these little creatures with my brother, who dubbed them “Winged Kuribos” (We were enjoying Twitch’s/Crunchy’s run of Yugioh while we made them). I was genuinely worried the kids were going to call them dumb and refuse to take one, but to my surprise, they fell in love with them and actually wanted multiple 😌 Oh, and of course I did trick or treat with the kids I led around. My inventory is full now. I should make more animal themed pouches; I made it back when I was obsessed with Naruto’s frog pouch 🐸 🍭One of the faculties you had to dab to receive candy and it was genuinely exciting to see how much we as a group got into it. Honestly, it was just a really awesome group of kids this year: interested and excited in what made the world ticked, thoughtful of what other classmates had to say, and loved to have fun and be true to themselves. I hope as those kids grow older they retain that part of themselves.
