I assumed the time skip + maybe sympathy for accidentally getting credit for killing his dad probably both played a part. It's easy to imagine she was upset for a bit but calmed down in the two months since.
That’s what I’m thinking. The more I sleep on it the more it makes sense. It’s like
Dr. Mrs. knows how important his parents were to the Monarch. Anything he might have forgotten in the accident is always important to him.
This is pretty standard behavior for the Monarch. It connects back to Rusty and it’s ruthless. It’s just his ruthlessness was directed towards villains this time
It brings them back to the initial problem before the Morpho stuff started which is the Monarch has to find a way to cope with being unable to arch Rusty, so in some ways this was him coping with being unable to arch Rusty anyway.
I feel like since it’s kind of on par for Monarch behavior and he’s not going to go about doing it again, that kind of helped make the fact they’re trucking on make sense.
