Kara's powers aren't what make her Kryptonian.
Kara being Kryptonian is why she has powers.
Powers or not, Kara's an alien. Not just a human with great abilities.
And technically Clark's the same, but he's more human than she'll ever be.
I’m thinking of a person - this person...
has been comatose in the DEO’s med bay
has been locked in a DEO containment cell
has been a bartender at the alien bar
sprung a sudden attack on a superhero
was told by that very hero that they would be helped and supported
pretended to be something they weren’t and lied about their identity so as not to isolate their superhero from them
used their abilities in violent/aggressive ways against other aliens and was even confronted by Supergirl while doing it
was a part of a culture that did terrible things to others that they saw as inferior
disavowed that culture after realizing that it was wrong
confronted someone from their past who still believed their culture was superior
chose to support their hero with conviction when facing that person from their past
didn’t see themselves as someone worthy until meeting their superhero
experienced a specific traumatic event that set them on a path to being a better person
acknowledged their past actions and dedicated themselves to changing
Now.
Am I describing Mon-El or am I describing M’gann M’orzz?
Because they were both a part of something terrible. But they’re also both worthy of forgiveness and a second chance. People learn. People change. If someone can admit that they were wrong and they truly want to be better, than they deserve that chance.
[sits bolt upright awake at 3am] what if ba'al auditioned to be on wormhole xtreme. what if he actually got to guest star and by the time the stargate program noticed it was too late
i was thinking about how common the Aliens Made Them Do It trope is in stargate... you know what i wanna see? Aliens Made Them Not Do It. [insert your favorite pair here] is irrepressibly horny but arrived on the planet right on the eve of the annual holiday of celibacy. comedic suffering ensues
i know it's probably implausible but i really want telford to have lou diamond phillips's collection of gigantic cats
thinking about sgu worldbuilding logistics. did they have contraception? pregnancy tests? i'm imagining rush telling young "it would be a good idea to recommend the crew prioritize pursuing relationships that aren't likely to result in pregnancy" and young is like do you realize what you just said
