"I apologize for bothering you, but--"
Something seemed to be physically pulling Watanuki closer to the young creature in front of him, an almost apologetic smile surfacing on his features. It was only when the gap was about to be closed that the pipe-fox, Mugetsu, shot out of the man's sleeve; excitedly inching closer and closer to the stranger.
"Kyu! Kyukyu, kyu!"
"-- he was quite insistent on meeting you." The shopkeeper kept his arm hovering over his hip, in an attempt to keep Mugetsu at an agreeable distance, for now. The concept of personal space did not exist in the kitsune's head, but at the very least, his master was fully aware of when the attention might start to feel overwhelming. "I hope we're not intruding. He's been away from his usual friends for a while, you see; I believe he may be intent on making a new one."
