No long comments but I just watched episode 201. With the exception of the green layer on top of the scenes, everything is much better. Aldertree does exactly what a Clave enjoy should do and he is intentionally ambiguous as for his morality in this first episode. He acts and sounds like a regular Clave enjoy, so the audience doesn’t know yet he’s actually a sadist abusing his authority. Even the logic of the dialogues improved: the characters are longer talking at each other but to each other. That is good.
My biggest issue here is that the show needed a few days between 113 and 201. A week would’ve been enough.
The story doesn’t make sense without that. Camille couldn’t have created a vampire den with so many vampires, let alone told Maria about what to do when a shadowhunter showed up in such a short time. Alec’s desperation at not feeling part of his soul could’ve used the days of emotional torture to build up to the headspace he is in. Jocelyn could have been held up at the infirmary for that time and that’s why she and Clary only have a conversation now. Even Valentine’s army would have had time to grow and train, and also capture that many downworlders. A week means Jace had time to think over his motives and that Valentine has been gaslighting and manipulating him for a while before letting Jace ask questions and go on land.
Parade rest: a position assumed by a soldier in which the feet are 12 inches apart and the hands are clasped behind the back

You don't know Alec. He's just like my mom, stubborn and strong-willed.
