I am so unbelievably excited for next week, and I also feel like it may just break my heart.

It looks like the Downworld may now know that Clary, and the Soul Sword, can be used to kill them and it is creating chaos. Many of them look to be planning to kill Clary to prevent mass genocide from happening; even Maia seems to be on board. Though I understand the thinking, to people who don’t know her what is the life of one Shadowhunter compared to the whole of the Downworld. Clary states that she is willing to die so that the Downworld can survive, which breaks my heart, she is so self sacrificing sometimes; she doesn’t want to be the one to cause the death of her friends. We see her and Simon on his van with Clary looking to maybe be injured.

Oh my God, Malec are fighting. It looks like Izzy goes to Magnus, or Raphael takes her there, to help her withdraw from Yin Fen and vampire venom; which is great that Izzy is getting the help she needs. It also looks like they know it was Aldertree that gave her the Yin Fen in the first place. However, Alec looks to be blaming Magnus for the current situation because Magnus knew Izzy was looking for Yin Fen in episode 7, though not the real reason for it. I understand that Alec is lashing out, and after the events of this week I think his emotions are really building up and he will be feeling guilty that he didn’t notice there was something seriously wrong with Izzy. So under this extra weight of guilt he takes it out on Magnus to mask his own feelings, I feel like all of Alec’s negative feelings are going to come to a head next week. That being said my heart is already bleeding for Magnus; he had no idea Izzy was using Yin Fen, and if he did he would have stepped in. He trusted Izzy enough to believe what she told him, he is probably going to feel a little guilty he didn’t spot it too; which will be reinforced by Alec’s words.

It also looks like Alec attacks Raphael, presumably because he fed from Izzy and gave her venom. I understand his anger at Raphael but violence won’t solve anything; and getting into a fight with a vampire is not a good idea.

I am getting prepared to cry next week. The fighting is beginning between the Downworld and the Shadowhunters because of Valentine’s plan and Malec are fighting after the revelation of Izzy’s addiction. I am not prepared for this.
