I love silent hill f so much cuz it really delves in the dillemma of girlhood.

From the first understanding it’s easy to think that the theme is misoginy and the shackle of marriage

But look deeper it actually more expand than that:

-Hinako isnt a tomboy, she likes girly things too. But just because she deny the path the girl trenches on doesnt mean she deny her girlyness. bc of this she was looked as a ‘betrayer’ from the girl group in her school and looks as a ‘unique girl’ by the boys

‘The fact that i dont like marriage doesnt mean i deny my girlhood. I can still play games with boys while still play dolls with my sister. I can still talk about love and boys but i can still love to participate in volleyball as team captain. Why must i forsaken one thing i love to be fit in, to feels less alienate from my identity?’

She’s stuck in between worlds bc to be something means she has to sacrifice somethings that makes her ‘hinako’

And i hated that feeling

When my interest have to align with gender it makes me feels isolated.

I can be whatever i want, but will the world want me to be that?
