Essay Epiphany
So I went down to play basketball with a mate of mine, Josh, and gradually as time passed, these kids show up. They were probably between 11 and 15 years old so we thought fuck it, lets have a game of football. we were playing against these 12 year olds and it was actually quite fun, until the "older kids" started coming in a couple at a time. Eventually, it turned into big kids vs little kids and they got so aggressive!
Me and Josh were on the little kids team to give them a little height advantage and we began playing. They started to play normally and it was shaping up to be a good game! We were up 2-0 then 3 then 4, but as soon as the 5th goal went in, they started throwing in bad tackles, pushing their weight into them and hitting the ball as hard as they could in our direction. Let me point out that they wouldnt go near me or Josh. They had no idea how old we were either, just that we were unfamiliar.
I asked one of the "Leader"'s of their group if they could tone it down a bit because of the obvious size difference, someone could get hurt, One of the lads didnt listen and floored this 12 year old, so I ran over, tackled him and insinuated that I'll now be man marking him. He wasn't sure how to react so just carried on playing. I had him in the corner every time he got the ball and he tried getting aggressive with me in frustration. I just stood there, took it and carried on when I won the ball. I told him that there will always be someone bigger than you, so don't give it if you can't take it.
We carried on playing and I left him alone and they actually started passing and trying to get through us, without physically pushing.
Now, I don't know whether it's me just being all grown up and boring but I don't remember being like that in school at all... We just played for fun with the odd scrap here and there, then went back to normal. Are kids today just trying to be big and angry or is it just me. I mean I get heckled now and again by kids on the street and I have no idea why! I don't know them! Has parenting gone downhill or is it just something fashionable and cool? I hope the latter and it should change, because bullying isn't cool.
Well that was fun.
Just woke up and instachunned. Lucky I have half carpet and half tiled flooring! And what is this headache that's just come about out of NOTHING.
I wish Radio 1xtra could be a constant soundtrack to my life.

So me and Alice are kind of a thing now :) genuinely falling for her a little bit and for once I feel like a good thing is coming for me :) i've waited so long for this and I hope it works out for real..
When you notice yourself repeat a word over and over.
My word at the moment is catharsis. It's such a fucking good word! I've been dropping it into sentences left right and centre! Brings me back to my philosophy days.
