The whole premise of Resetting Lady is that after 100 or so 1-year-long regressions, Carynne decides to become a serial killer to get revenge on the people who murdered her while trying to find a way to escape her time loop. 

Semi-outside of her revenge, it's revealed that she locked her fiancé in a room with (presumably hunting) hounds to try and kill him on the day of their engagement ceremony when they were children (outside of the 1-year regression period). She also convinces her father to kill himself to gauge how far her “destined one” would need to be willing to go for her to finally escape her regressions like her mother.  

She's very fucked up and twisted, but you can't help but want her to escape the narrative.

Kiryeo is an archmage from an alien civilization who was reincarnated on Earth. During his period of adaptation he is mistaken for being one of the extremely strong S-rank hunters, even though in reality his true magic capabilities are far more meager. Well, it's official. The Killer of Killers is, by far, the stupidest book I've ever read. Never really thought I could speedread and still delay finishing a book (because it is so stupid, I had to pause else my braincells would suffer).

Look, I have no problem with toxic or problematic. At least, those are entertaining. But this book had committed the grave sin of having an extremely stupid FBI agent protagonist acting as if he is some kind of pillar of moral righteousness when he (1) teams up with a serial killer when convenient and (2) VIOLENTLY RAPES said serial killer and still have the gall to act like he is owed.

I'm not even sure what Rosmei was thinking when they licenced to publish this danmei. Right now, all I want is to track the fucking author and set them on fire 😑

I've been trying to finish Volume 1 of Killer of Killers, but it is taking me a while because I keep getting distracted between wild disbelief and full-on cringe of what I'm reading

It is just... too Wattpad-y for me 🫠🫠🫠🫠 Like what in actual hell is happening??? 😅😅😅

The plot is there, but its brilliance is being hidden quite effectively by all these superficial things happening between the MCs that this is the first time I have ever been bored reading a supposed mystery thriller.

Like goddamned, I already figured out who the titular Killer of Killers is in the first five chapters. I just want to story to move along 🙃

Bad news is, I'm only on Volume 1. The good news? There are only two volumes of this mess so hopefully I can muster the strength to finish both books by the end of this week so I can move on to the next book on my bedside table 😭😭😭😭 (I still have 8 more books that would be delivered this week)
