So discord is down. I have a fic on Ao3 that uses discord as the host for pictures (drawn by @lokineko ) and I can currently still see them in my fic.

Turns out Hades (the game) is good poly rep. At first when I heard that you could do all romance options without drawbacks I was excited. But the deeper I get into said romance options the more impressed I am. I don't want to do spoilers but I swear I just saw compersion on my screen. I'm... So happy. This is a rougelite. The main game is fighting shades through evershifting corridors. I was not expecting my aromantic ass to consistently squee at the romance. And there's bi options.
Hilariously, I already knew this, because two of Teagan’s partners were gushing about the game in-character. XD

At this point everything I’ve written for seems fair game, but it’s mostly been SW and Naruto.
Not sure I want to lengthen the already long post of, "can't they just be friends?" But I've started calling that particular trope "Gay or Queerplatonic?" Because when one of your major themes is that their feelings for each other are super intense it stops being "just" anything. You're in Queer Territory now no matter how much sex they don't have.

I think that brings up a lot of people’s cranky feelings about how friendship isn’t “just” anything, best friends as highest emotional bond, yadda yadda.
Is it Tamora Pierce appreciation hour? Cuz I'm reading her newest book (numair's backstory) and it's amazing. The biggest problem is that I've read Emperor Mage so I *know* it ends with a T-Rex and Stormwings.

Talking about the problematic age gap relationship in the Immortals Quartet, which I problematically love:
I want some way to “fix” the Daine/Numair age gap so it’s less squicky, because I actually do love their relationship, and Numair makes a lot of sense to me internally. It’s just like... does Daine really need to start the series so young, or need to still be in the Peak YA Protagonist Age Range at the end of her series? Couldn’t there have been more years in there letting her age and mature? Because they click really well intellectually and emotionally and I love their relationship but THAT IS SURE A HELL OF AN AGE GAP.
(I’ve talked before about how when I was ten, Numair seemed Super Super Old to me. And then I reread the books in my thirties and was like “OH GOD HE’S A BAAAAABY AND HE’S JUST FOUND SOMEONE AS INTO HIS NERDY INTEREST AS HIM”.)
