I loooove how shackleton is the ghost haunting the terra nova expedition. he’s not there. he’s on everyone’s mind. they are racing him. he’s alive. he’s dead to con and bill. they must keep up with his time for furthest south. they must do better than him. he’s not there. he turned back. they won’t.
