First, #22: Do you have a fixed writing routine, or do you write when you have time? Is there a time of day when you prefer to write?
I wish I had a fixed writing routine. Right now I'm so overwhelmed with work that I really only write when I have time. But I do make sure I've got at least an hour to write, so I have time to think and I'm not rushing through it. And I used to prefer writing at night--so many fics I was writing at 2am, in the throes of insomnia. Now I usually read at 2am 😂 I like writing in the morning, after everyone has left, or in the evening, also when everyone has left 😂 I guess you can see a pattern there 🤣
And, #24: What colors, sights, sounds, textures, etc. inspire you? Do certain environments make you feel more creative than others?
I actually like to write with the screen saver on my television?? It's a series of changing photos, and they're really pretty, and when I sit I just like to look at them sometimes and it relaxes me. I listen to a LOT of different types of music, depending on what I'm writing. Lately it's been a lot of Sia, Nothing But Thieves, Burnout Syndromes, Of Monsters and Men, and the 90s classic album Pure Moods (you had to be there 😂)
I also love to write outdoors. I'm a member at a local museum, and I'll go there, find a quiet place on the grounds, put on my headphones, and write. But I'll also sit out on my deck and write, or outside at a coffee shop... basically anywhere I can enjoy the scenery, play some music, and be alone for a few hours.
