hi, im not dead<3 sorry that its been 3000 years, but tumblr user rebo-chan is alive and well anyway.. do you guys ever think about Tsunas relationship with the mafia? How he's connected to it by literal blood, but unaware of it his entire life til he becomes 14. How he rejects it bc of his want to just a live a normal life, but that normal life was also tied to him like a ball and chain of being a nobody. A no-good, if you may. Do you guys ever think about how the Mafia brought to him Reborn and how Reborn taught him how to actually try in his life because he's worth something if he could ever put in the effort for it? Do you ever think about how Reborn used the Mafia as an excuse to slowly build Tsuna's friend group and strengthen Tsuna's character? Do you ever think about how Tsuna, the boy who always turned the other cheek and thought that stuff didn't involve him, awakened like a deeply strong moral compass through the mafia? Through those who rose against him like Mukuro who pushed the people he loved around, till Tsuna stood up to fight him of his own volition, or Xanxus who used people no matter if they were literal family till Tsuna decided that someone like that doesn't deserve to lead the Vongola? Because it should be someone wiser, kinder, better. OF COURSE, HAHA, this isn't HIM. No, no no. Never him, he's still a loser.
Do you ever think about how Tsuna's time in the Mafia taught him where his beliefs lie? That the people who he respected could never be the monsters that the Shimon family accused them of being. Not even his own father that he thinks so less of. That there's more to a story than just the Vindice or Checkerface being the bad guys, but in the end it didn't matter what side was right or wrong, because they were targeting the people that Tsuna loved? And that there had to be a solution out there that fixed everything, and if there wasn't, then Tsuna was willing to go down fighting for them. You ever think about how Tsuna rejected Timoteo's offer, because he felt like he couldn't do it? (And did you ever notice that Timoteo's memories of future arc taught this man that this boy could be something. Could be the change that Primo and him have wanted for the mafia for years?) But, the moment that someone targeted a guardian, a friend. Tsuna set that all aside to fake an inheritance all for the possiblity to take down a Vongola enemy.
In all of Tsuna's struggles and battles and tears, do you guys ever think about how Byakuran mocked him right before going to give the final blow to take him, that everything he's done so far must have been a real waste. He must regret ever getting involved in any of this. And Tsuna through the pain tells him that truthfully he doesn't regret any of it. Actually, he feels so grateful for all the opportunities granted to him and all the memories he's created because of it. He cherishes it, in fact. And this statement brings Vongola Primo out of the ring, as for once, he's finally found his true successor. After ten generations of lying in wait in the ring. Finally.
And... do you guys ever think about how in the final chapters, Tsuna rejects the position formally to Reborn, and Reborn leaves. And Tsuna is so deeply crushed by this, and he falls back into his old tendencies, and his self-esteem starts to plummet. Then, Reborn comes back. You've got a new title, he says. We're gonna work towards it. And Tsuna feels relieved that Reborn came back. The mafia came back. Then, he looks out the window and thinks that now, if things get hard, he has so many people now to help him if he needs it. His friends, his fellow mafioso, his family. And, that's how KHR ends.
But like seriously, do you guys ever think about his relationship to the mafia? BECAUSE I SURE DO.
