Hello! I hope you're doing well too! <33 (o: Shades of Muse started out as a short film idea I had back in 2020 but since then has evolved into two separate stories but both are connected! The Protagonist of the modern times version is Connie, a nonbinary artist trying to make it alone in a big city. Struggling to make a living through their art, they work as a dishwasher to pay the bills. Their co-worker and them discover an abandoned painting in the alley behind where they work. Canvases are expensive, and they really only can justify buying a new one when they have been commissioned. So, without knowing any better they take this cursed painting home. After countless failed attempts of painting over the original painting, Connie begins to question their sanity, every day they wake up and the painting is back to how it was before they started. It's when Connie is at their lowest in the story that the entity residing in the painting makes himself known. The Painting Entity is currently nameless but will refer to himself as Nonnie's Muse. As for his appearance, he shifts and changes depending on which painting he is in (kind of like a chameleon).

He sustains himself by consuming the energy/emotion that is put into the paintings Connie creates. He calls these emotions/intentions "colors" and craves certain colors more than others. Annnnd yeah I think I'll end my ramblin' there I'm gonna be uploading bios soon of the characters 💙 The story is in the process of being written, hopefully, I'll be able to share more soon. but it might take a while since I'm more of a visual artist than a writer. :'))
