Hey Shade! You get the start of a chaotic Discord debate over the definition of biscuits and scones!
(DM for the whole convo lol)
Team Rancher napping cosy in some piles of hay? I didn't watch either of them for Double Life but I think that would be cute (also love your art hope you're doing well)
I wish i could sleep on a pile of hay

✨-- What's a fic you've posted you wish you could breathe life into again and have people talking about it? (or simply a fic you wish got more credit)
an entire fic series, actually -- to this day the 77-2 AU is one of our favorite things we've written and something that, even if not all of it holds up, was massively influential both in terms of us developing a unique writing style, helping us learn how to write collaboratively with others, and causing us to meet some of our best friends. if you like dog at the door, it was possible because of 77-2; if you like any of our weird-formatting fics, 77-2 is where that style started.
unfortunately... it's a Season 6 fic. and many, many people in this fandom now have very little interest in Season 6 fics, apparently. so it's kinda gone underlooked, which has in turn lead to us kinda just... not finishing the series (yet) (someday we'll get the motivation).
💞-- what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language
we have a very different answer for this depending on whether we're reading or writing -- fic reading wise, the only one of these that's make-or-break is the character work. we can overlook a clichéd plot, wonky worldbuilding, even iffy or bad grammar (we find there's a certain charm to it, actually) as long as the character writing is solid and well-done. part of this is being used to digging through the bin for scraps of favorite character; part of this is just generally tending towards being forgiving of flaws as long as the story/characters are interesting.
on the other hand, writing-wise, while character work is still massively important to us, we also put a lot of work into technical flow specifically -- less grammar, more tonal consistency, making sure there are distinct character voices and that people don't sound the same, making sure sections "flow" or are intentionally choppy, strong visual imagery, et cetera. the character work and plot informs how we check these things and which parts we focus on, but in general it's very important to us that things Work (this is also why we edit as we go, despite that being a bad habit -- it's way easier to rip up a paragraph partway through writing it instead of having it seeded for several more paragraphs before realizing there's a major problem).
I think you deserve to know that I read your url in a Xisuma voice. good morning dawnpaff nevveritesword
YOU'VE BEEN DOING THAT THIS ENTIRE TIME?
You: SPOTTED
ALL WEAPONS: ENGAGE!
what if i just eat your weapons.

hello. Could I please have a Doctor Renstein. Idk I just think there wasn't enough art of him in season 7 and I am a normal amount of attached to that funky little mushroom scientist skin <- lie
All hermitcraft scientists know is ignore health and saftey, conduct dangerous experiment, eat hot chip, and lie.
