“Only if it’s not a bother to ya’!” Val chimes back, her ever present grin growing as she swipes a hand across her forehead. It was one of the warmer days, so Valkyrie tended to work up a sweat during her track through the fields. Although she certainly wouldn’t pass up a chance to have some lunch with a new friend!

“Anyway, sorry if this seems sudden. I was just in the city the other day and went window shopping and saw this by chance. I sudden;y thought of you being all new here and wanting to set up your own place.”

Now, he wasn’t familiar with most Pokemon, but this little dude had to take the medal for ‘funkiest creature he’d ever seen’. Jewel eyes? Freaky set of chompers? It looked like it should live in a treasure chest and bite anyone looking to steal from his hoard. 

“What do you call a thing like this?” He asked from his squat, fighting the urge to wiggle his finger at the ghost.

On the hunt for rare stones, Steven had discovered something else during his travels in Galar instead. With the pokemon egg he had found in tow - wrapped around his neck in a towel, as some sort of makeshift baby sling-, Steven walked through Motostoke, until he found what he was looking for. The daycare had been recommended to him by a kind lady who had directed him to just outside of the city. He entered the building with a greeting. “Good day. I found an egg and could use some help. I hope I don’t intrude too much.”

     though he's not tall, milo's figure commands a presence all on its own as he enters the daycare outside motostoke. between his broad shoulders and the eye-catching uniform, he won't deny he might look out of place but he grins as if he belongs just about anywhere.

“ hello there, miss! would you happen to be the caretaker ‘round here? ” cradled in the farmer's arms is a small snom. “ i ran into this fella a li'l ways down the route and figured he ought to come from here. you don't see many of them all the way out here! ”

“Sorry to be a pain, dearie, can I get a quote?”

The pet name makes her internally cringe for a moment, if only because she realises just how much she sounds like her great-great-aunt. Ayida’s not used a daycare in a while, for the most part, most of her team can look after themselves. But her childhood pet Skitty? Definitely wouldn’t be able to. She wasn’t used to battling like the others were. 

“I got an old friend from back home, but can’t risk taking ‘em on my next journey so I was hoping to leave her here for a day or two?”
