Something I find very interesting is that the starsword and Truth-teller both called to fae with abilities to summon shadows. I can't help but think it would somehow come into play in the later books.
Just think about it, Ruhn isn't the most powerful starborn, he barely has a drop of the power when compared to Bryce but he was the one that the sword appeared to and called out to. We don't really know how truth teller came into Azriel's possession but I bet there is an equally horrendous ordeal involved.
