Had a second shot this weekend against a Vader-led Empire army. He and Maul had a very tense standoff through round 2, just waiting for the other to make a move. I was able to hold out though, and after Vader moved to an objective I had my Swoop Bikes run him over. Took an early lead on the objectives and then it was cleaning up the gun line from there

What I think will happen next:

Maul: Shadow Lord Season 2 will either take us through Maul's rise to power with Crimson Dawn or start after a time jump, and will either run to his cameo in Solo or through it depending on if there's a season 3.

This will be most of his training time with Devon, an angry, grieving teenager who will vacillate between Maul's Sith teachings and her Jedi training. This will lead to either a redemption arc where she leaves Maul to rededicate herself to the Jedi, a crashout arc where she goes full Sith, or end up getting her killed.

Either way, we know where Maul ends up: abandoned and alone on Malachor. No Devon, no Crimson Dawn, no Shadow Collective, and without seemingly much interest in any of them - not like in Maul: Shadow Lord.

So what happens?

My prediction is that, sometime during his rule of Crimson Dawn/the Shadow Collective, Maul finds out Obi Wan is alive. Maybe he suspected it, but with proof, he goes full off the deep end... again. In the process, he also follows up the rumors of Malachor, and plans his vengeance against all of his enemies.

Much like his obsession with Devon in season 1, this alienates many of his allies... including Devon, who has no interest in giving up her righteous vengeance for Maul's quest to ruin a random Jedi's life. Maul starts pulling away from both her and Crimson Dawn, leading to two possibilities:

Redemption Arc: Devon, without the full weight of Maul's charisma and manipulations bearing down on her, looks around and realizes that she's not happy, and won't be until she makes her master proud - her true master, Eeko-Dio Daki. She begins to distance herself from Maul, angering him, and either successfully flees or confronts him and he kills her in a rage.

Crashout Arc: Devon, buried in her own obsession and increasingly forced into a leadership role with Crimson Dawn as Maul's second while he's... occupied, grows dissatisfied with Maul's distraction. She either plots his overthrow with Qi'ra (hell yeah) or decides she doesn't need him anymore and abandons him, leaving him betrayed yet again. Or in true Sith style tries to kill him and fails.

Depending on when things happen, Devon's "betrayal" could come right on Malachor itself - perhaps he assuaged her concerns with promises of the temple, but she found herself unable to lift the door with him (Jedi arc) or decided she didn't care (crashout arc). Bitter arguing ensues, perhaps even a fight, and he either kills her - mirroring his own treatment at Palpatine's hands - or she takes his ship and flees, leaving him stranded, abandoned, and alone.

I personally think Scorn is so so goofy when not in serious situations. And it’s not intentional/to make people laugh he’s just a goofy guy inherently, he was born with the goof in him

I can’t stop thinking about the whole of Maul’s team leaving him in their base alone (maybe he drew the short end of the stick, maybe it was a stealth mission) and a few hours later they walk in on him dancing around and singing some weird ass song like 🎶 DICK SMALLER THAN MY TOES, I’D RATHER RIDE SQUIDWARD NOSE🎶
