I was going to recommend this to a friend (still going to), but Jesus look at the price! AJ is winning at life.
I read this before it was published and it was SwanQueen and the quality is top tier 👌🏻

Am rewriting Shadow Haven. Part fic. Part book. Part new things.
shallicallitshadowheaven
If you want a copy of Shadow Haven (the book, not the fic) you're going to have to get it before June 1st, 2024 because on June 1st it'll be banished from the internet.
This is only the millionth time I’m going to complain about this. But apparently it needs to be said a million times.
I do not want my fics translated.
You have every right to ask me, just like I have every right to say no.
Here’s what you can’t do:
- ask me, get told no, then do it anyway. - ask me, get told no, say you won’t, then do it anyway. - ask me, get told no, then tell me I’m hurting ‘fans’ - ask me, get told no, and be a fucking dick about it I think it is awesome that there’s people who legitimately want to translate fics. I think it’s awesome when authors give their consent and their fics are translated.
But if you ask me, and I tell you no, and you do it anyway, you’re going to piss me off.
Ask your authors before you translate. Respect their answer. Translating a fic and then saying, “All credit goes to...” is not respecting someone when they’ve told you multiple times that they don’t want it. So far, I’ve had to contact a Russian fic site two times to get Shadow Haven pulled. WattPad pulled after I had to go through an entire process to prove I wrote it first. Now I’m twittering back and forth with a Brazilian fic site.
I worked fucking hard to bring Shadow Haven to life and if I want it translated, I’ll say yes. But until I do, get off your fucking high horse and stop uploading my fic and adding ‘pretty’ pictures to it. Stop claiming intellectual property?! This particular woman who has been translating fics has done four so far:
- Secretary - Always by your side - She will be loved - Shadow Haven (twice for some reason) This particular woman has messaged me back and forth about this and will not take no for an answer, as I told her no back in May and then she said she’d pull it from different sites, but then started uploading again in August. At this point, I’m over it. Well, not really. I’m mad as all hell. But I’m over trying to be nice.
Please, you guys, don’t do this.
It’s not my birthday, but it’s been a year since Shadow Haven was released and that in itself is sort of a birthday, right? I still am incredibly proud of it and I know I couldn’t have done it without Swen. So thank you for making a dream come true and for every kind word any of you have ever said about SH.
You have my eternal gratitude.
If you'd like to see what Alexandra and Julia in the Shadow Haven universe do during their Christmas holiday please subscribe to my mailing list! On Christmas Day you'll get an exclusive stand alone chapter.
Also if you don't care about Shadow Haven (why the hell not!) you can still subscribe and I'll let you know once in a while what I'm up to regarding new novels, etc.
IF
I was to write a Shadow Haven sequel, what would you like to see? See that giant if though? Because it’s humongous.
