the Shadow Thing is basically this ability the siblings have where they kinda mash their voids together, and this allows them to essentially become,,, well, a shadow. it’s pretty sneaky but it’s not particularly infallible when it come to staying unnoticed, considering all the eyes and spiky bits, so now there’s rumors of a monstrous ghost haunting the white palace

when hornet was little, the shadow thing was her “imaginary” friend :P she gave it its name.

super uper late happy halloween! i hope all of you had a great halloween (and 31st for those who don’t celebrate it)—and the first week of november! 

this took forever to paint, apx. 20h sobs. done in procreate. i really tried my best to keep their skin colors in mind with all the glows and bright lighting. red’s textured hair was tricky to do though but hopefully i did okay? overall though im super impressed with myself considering…how i dont, like, paint at all lol im very lazy for an artist but here we are.

things to note: adoxi’s anatomy is supposed to look weird ribs down, but i am still playing with his anatomy design still since he’s not monstrous enough. same with red. both are meant to have big mouths, but im genuinely not very good at drawing monsters without making the anatomy to look very weird (even for monsters). cerelos is the only one that looked about right though (his horse half is sitting down btw). i have no comment on i’san, they never really have a set design and thats on purpose lol
