It concerns two people.

Rachel Charms, the Witch. Self-identifying supervillain, consciously an agent of chaos. No family to care, all she does is because she is good at it, and because that would a "real villain" would do. Considers ultraviolence a valid form of self-expression. By luck and pluck, ended up as the head of a burgeoning criminal enterprise. The responsibility stifles her, the power beckons her. When she speaks a phrase of three words or less, she change the nature of a thing she touches. Effect temporary, worse against living things. Shapes persist, materials and para-physical effects do not. Gases need to be visible. Dirtbag bisexual.

Josephine Pedersen, Shadow Walker (no relation/no relation). No nonsense hired blade. Cares mostly about whether she is going to paid. In large part she has a person she's responsible for. Extremely tired of Witch's shit. By luck, now gets paid to take care of Witch's shit. Rejects Witch's advances. Tries to stop Witch from trying her ward. Who is now also gets paid by Witch. Gains super speed in shadows. Bleeds black corrosive bile. Heterosexual?

Phrases of the World

I had a funkie little angle for Roads To Magic that i wanted to try out; and that was mostly making new words and terms as identifiers for the different parts (and technically species) of the world. To Prevent burnout, I'm intending to only focus on the ones that will be spoken about and mentioned within the book I'm working on now, which will essentially look like this! [colloquial term] = ["location specific" term]

Part of this is because i want to solidify the mass difference between the three worlds that Roads To Magic will be exploring. The first one (and the focus of this particular post) will be covering some of the colloquial or 'slang' terms verse the ones that are written in history books, with the pronunciations for them as well! My favorites so far (and the only ones that I have at this current moment) are as follows!

Werewolf = Wolshi [Wool-She]

Vampire = Mafee [Ma Fee]

Non-Magic Born = NoMa [No-ma]

Magic Born = Mabo [Ma-Bow]

Faerie = Minfle [Min-flea]

Shadow Demon/Creature = Shawal [Shae-Wall]

Dragons = Fimabo [Fee-ma-bow]

Giants/Titans = Gibroma [Gi-bro-Ma]

I'm gonna try and keep specific posts about each species tagged as both their colloquial term and the in-world specific ones! I'm really excited to share my knowledge with you all!

Due to the effects of the Kaorin Berry, the Hero grows to a massive size during the levels Rapocity and Windy Hills. In the latter level, an enemy called the Shadow Bird appears, with a Shadow Walker riding on its back.

Comparing the size of the Shadow Walker on the Shadow Bird to the normal Shadow Walker sprite, we can see that the Shadow Bird is similar in size to Frostwind, illustrated below:

The sprites for the Shadow Walker and Frostwind were scaled proportionally in the second image. With a straight back, the Shadow Bird is only about two segments shorter than Frostwind.
