As I like to say, Happy Level-Up Day, Ami! You grow wiser and more beautiful with every year that passes!
Thank you so much! You're too kind!

Just as long as I don't see you wearing some of the dumber ones that show up on Radio Dead Air's Halloween special. :D
Fuck you, I wear what I want.

Everyone hates bards, though. And you, I don’t hate.
people who hate bards don't know what they're missing.
(^///^) :D
Oh, behave, you... :P
Worst non-bard character you've been in a group with, and worst player?
I don’t usually like telling tales outside of school, but I will say this.
In my Mutants & Masterminds campaign, I’m playing with probably the worst player in the history of players.
Let me start here: The guy has never played a pen and paper RPG before. He’s also a generally good person outside of the game.
Excuses aside, worst player in the history of players.
He plays a Magician archetype, as a 20-something professor of Archaeology named Katherine Lancaster (Codename: Amethyst Justice). He found a mystic amulet that gives him Egyptian-based magical powers. The origin is actually pretty clean.
He knows nothing about Egypt, his powers, or archaeology, nor does he do anything to increase these areas of knowledge and expertise, inside or outside of the game. He once tried to bluff Thoth, a literal Egyptian God, of a battle in Egyptian history that did not exist.
The player doesn’t know a single rule. He has no idea what most of his spells do. He actually does not own dice. He spends 45-70% of every session looking at funny pictures on Imgur, missing entire sections of content, even during arcs positioned specifically for his character.
He also violated what I consider to be the cardinal rule of characters: he used his magical powers to take control of my character. (There was a Will roll, but I failed it twice.)
Literally nothing in the RP universe makes me more furious than having a character be manipulated, magically or otherwise, in a way that prevents the player from playing.
He plays a generally insulting, incapable, distracting, annoying character that does very, very little to grow his character or himself in terms of play.
That guy.
Hey now, I never said it was out-and-out UGLY, just that it's not my style. As Christmas jumpers go, I could've gotten much, much, MUCH worse.
