on a lighter note! I was tagged by @shadowedhills
List all the things you’re currently working on in as much or little detail as you’d like, then tag some friends to see what they’re working on
tagging anyone who wants? I DON’T KNOW WHO IS WORKING ON THINGS. UH. No pressure tagging:. @janoda @poemsfromthealley @evilsapphyre @thedivinemissema @shadoedseptmbr (but really truly, anyone who’d like)
While I have about a dozen WIP-y things, they’re the same WIP-y things from the last time I did this, so instead! Have an excerpt of the Shadowhunters Persuasion AU, aka my gay magical regency procedural.
Yes, I put cops in Persuasion, shush, it makes sense to me.
/because I am very weird apparently
though this bit is not a procedural bit. that’s not ‘til much later.
Magnus was getting ready for the Herondale Ball.
Voluntarily.
Purposefully getting ready to walk through those doors and spend an evening surrounded by the highest ranks of the Nephilim and their disdain. Lady Herondale’s face upon having to greet a warlock at least somewhat graciously would probably be worth it?
No, it wouldn’t. Nice bonus, perhaps. His rank entitled him to the invitation, but everyone knew he wasn’t supposed to accept. Before this Season, he’d never even been tempted.
But now? He was going so he could watch Mr. Lightwood dance a token dance or two with Miss Penhallow (they were both quite graceful, it was a nice show) before Alec spent the rest of the night holding up a wall. All so he, High Warlock Magnus Bane himself, could hold up the stretch of wall next to him.
The man had too much leg, it was ridiculous, no one should look that good leaning and occasionally rolling his eyes or smiling at his sister.
Or at me.
Magnus was perhaps also a little ridiculous? He’d even procured a new waistcoat and boots for the occasion. He couldn’t wait to see Alec’s face when he saw them.
