Tenna Multimedia project update #3!!
Out of around 132 (total went up because I added more scenes 😭) I've finished 32-- 24 of those scenes done in 3 weeks after my last update! Which may seem like a lot but I'm kinda disappointed in myself for not completing more because I get distracted easily :(
Before I yap and show off some progress and stuff, I am just realizing how crazy this whole thing is and how crazy I must seem. I guess the fact that I physically have so many pieces already just- it really just struck me.
Anyways for this project there are lots of backgrounds that I’m reusing where I can create a different scene by swapping out character pieces and props, such as Rambs bar! And I have finally entered the part in the storyboard where Spamton comes in, and it has been really fun coloring him (and Ramb) with markers.
Heres a clip of the making of Ramb's bar and one Spamton from a scene!
Some reusable background pics:
This is what the setup looks like when I'm preparing to take pictures of a scene by the way. Made me feel like I was playing a decorating game. And despite how frustrating it is, I do enjoy the very careful process of moving pieces to do stopmotion and trying not to sigh or breathe out too often so that the pieces don't all fly away (which has happened once already, it was tragic)
I tend to add more stopmotion (like Tenna's antennas) and making little additions to scenes that weren't originally in the storyboard as I go on making the project which gives me a ton more work- however I think it'll be worth it.
Speaking of the antennas, in most scenes it is moving and visualizing Tenna's emotions which is something I did not plan to do, but I'm glad overtime I started doing it more, as I think it adds to his character!
I think I've also gotten a bit better at finding a technique for taking pictures for stopmotion! (For context m not using a stopmotion stand or anything, I am raising my phone to take a picture, putting it down, cropping the photo and then taking another picture and trying to find the exact angle I took from the last photo while also trying to crop it similarly.)
Sorry about the quality, have to use a gif since I can't add more than one video.
This post is getting kinda long so I'll stop here and post the rest of my progress photos. But thank you if you took the time to read all of this! I love showing my progress and just yapping about how I do papercraft stuff since it's my current art hyperfixation eee.
I hope you have a lovely day/night! (And happy valentines day <3)
