Rainer trying to pinpoint where the Shadowman is so she can do a quick run to the kitchen bc she has the munchies and when she turns around at the far end of the hall she sees staring back at her soft glowing red eyes

I have no way to explain the shadowman like perhaps he is a manifestation of Rainer's mental illness and trauma passed down generation from generation, maybe he is an entity that got attached to her, maybe he is someone involved in the events and hes forever punished to be a witness, a mere watcher unallowed to make comment or action, maybe he is an unconscious creation of Rainer. He does not blink. He does not rest.
