"Chaque jour est une fête", trois femmes dans le désert
Jour de la fête de l’indépendance du Liban, trois femmes qui ne se connaissent pas prennent un même bus qui va les emmener voir leurs maris à la prison située dans l’arrière-pays. Mais dans un pays toujours en proie à des guerres civiles, elles vont vite se retrouver livrer à elles-même dans une région aride et désertique.
Si le film tire un peu trop en longueur, il reste à découvrir de une magnifique région désertique du Liban, trois actrices belles et sensuelles (Hiam Abbass, Manal Khader et Raïa Haïdar) et des situations absurdes et amusantes (passage d'anonymes réfugiés ou rencontre avec un transporteur de poules).
Mention spéciale à la bande annonce française particulièrement réussie qui montre un talent certain de réalisation à suivre chez Dima El-Horr.

A force de le voir systématiquement boire son expresso dans la cafétéria d'un aéroport, il n'y a rien d'étonnant à découvrir l'acteur américain George Clooney courir après le record de miles sur sa carte fidélité de l'American Airlines.
Spécialiste d'histoire aux personnages provocateurs, un lobbyiste du tabac dans "Thank you for smoking" (2005) ou une adolescente enceinte dans "Juno" (2007), Jason Reitman signe avec "In the Air" l’histoire d’un homme dont le travail consiste à aider des entreprises à renvoyer leurs employés avec un risque légal minimum.
Si le film décolle grâce à son histoire et à ce personnage dont la vie va basculer au contact d'une jeune collaboratrice (Anna Kendrick) et d'une nouvelle amante (Vera Farmiga), le vol flirte sans réellement se décider entre comédie romantique et dramatique, nous posant sur le sol d'autant plus sur notre faim.
Enfin, petite remarque sur le studio américain ShadowPlay qui réalisé le générique du film dans une esthétique très Google Maps. Déjà auteur des génériques de "Thank you for smoking" et de "Juno", ShadowPlay récidive ici avec un générique étonnant et réussi visuellement, où images aériennes et ciel nuageux allient poésie et abstraction sur la musique à cordes du compositeur américain Rolfe Kent.

"Every Day is a Holiday", three women in the desert
Day of independence of Lebanon, three women who do not know each other take the same bus that will take them to see their husbands to the prison located in the hinterland. But in a country still plagued by civil wars, they will be soon force to manage themselves alone in an arid and desertic area.
If the movie takes too long, it remains to discover a magnificent desertic region of Lebanon, three beautiful and sensual actresses (Hiam Abbass, Manal Khader and Raia Haidar) and absurd and fun situations (passage of anonymous refugees or meeting a carrier of chickens).
Special mention to the French trailer particularly successful showing sure talent in direction to follow of Dima El-Horr.

By dint of seeing him drinking his espresso constantly in the cafeteria of an airport, there is nothing surprising to discover the American actor George Clooney running after the record of miles on his loyalty card of American Airlines.
Specialist of stories with provocative characters, a tobacco lobbyist in "Thank You for Smoking" (2005) or a pregnant teenager in "Juno" (2007), Jason Reitman signs with "In the Air" the story of a man whose job is to help companies to fire their employees with a minimal legal risk.
If the movie takes off with his story and the character whose life is going to switch to contact with a young colleague (Anna Kendrick) and a new lover (Vera Farmiga), the flight flirts without actually deciding between romance and dramatic, so lands us on the ground even more with hunger.
A small remark: the French trailer is much better than the American one.
Finally, brief comment on the U.S. ShadowPlay Studio who made the film's opening credits in a very aesthetic Google Maps way. Already author of opening credits of "Thank You for Smoking" and "Juno", ShadowPlay do it again here with a opening credits visually stunning and successful, where aerial images and cloudy sky combine poetry and abstraction on the music with strings of the American composer Rolfe Kent.
