Bruce’s expression softened, studying the other’s expression warily and nodding, stepping back. The younger girl was in obvious distress, and raising his voice hadn’t solved anything. He’d also only reached out in an attempt to comfort, console, for the most part, but he realized that he’d been mistaken in doing so. 

“You’re okay,” he responded, quietly. “Just tell me what happened, and what I can do,” he added, in a far gentler tone.

A slow smile made it’s way to his lips, eyes lighting up at the idea of a date with the girl in front of him, and he nodded eagerly, trying to remember how to speak. “I...uh....y-yeah! Yeah that would be kinda cool I guess.” he said, trying to play it cool as a grin spread across his lips.
