Meet Akira Kagero ! !
A Short Summary of Her Backstory :
Her mother died when she was young, leaving young Akira in her villainous father’s clutches. The man wasn’t always evil, he had became that way when her mother died. The woman was a firefighter, her water quirk working wonder for fiery disasters. Only one day, the flames of a hero’s path had became too much, she sacrificed herself to save another.
Afterwards, her father snapped, his entire personality changing, frightening his own daughter. He spent years attempting to shape her into himself, but more powerful. He could only travel through the shadows, while she held complete dominion over them.
She was ten the first time her father attempted to make her kill.
A hero happened to stumble into the scene, witnessing her father forcefully drag her away from the body, the innocent woman he had murdered.
Her father was detained ridiculously quick, and finally, she was free of his clutches.
From that day forward, even through the bullying and forced social isolation, Eraser head was her savior. He was the one man she looked up to. She felt as if she had owed him her life despite only having spoken a handful of words to each other. From that day on, she resolved to be more like Eraser head, to be brave, heroic, to save others just as he had saved her.
Hero Costume!! I won’t lie, it took at least six hours to complete all of these.
Time for a few fun facts!
Akira has trouble showing proper emotion on her face, but goodness do the eyes tell a lot! They sparkle in excitement, droop in sadness, darken in anger.
She lives with her maternal grandmother, a quirkless yet kind elderly woman. She’s the light of Akira’s life.
She hasn’t seen her father since his arrest. She’s resolved to never see him again.
She has a rather large sweet tooth, but tries not to indulge.
And lastly,
As a huge fan of Eraser head, she has posters on her wall, she keeps collectables on a shelf, she even still has the jacket the man had placed over her after saving her. When she moved into the dorms at her grandmother’s insistence, she brought it all with her. She was rather embarrassed at the sudden decorating challenge, face as red as a tomato as they looked through her room. She’s not Deku fan crazy, but she does have quite a few things.
Monster form or I call it: The Shadow’s Embrace! It’s a move where she quite literally absorbs her own shadow. It’s stronger and quicker, but has drawbacks. It makes her ravenous, she feels like she’s starving, and she can only make it last fifteen minutes at a time, taking an hour to boot back up.
Honestly, this is one of my favorites, I just love the whole shadow quirk idea!
