Ok so because I'm working on the books and comic at the same time i feel as though the comics getting a little neglected, so i decided to give some info on some of the other characters from he comic. There are many different characters in the book series and comic, but the only thing I will be telling you is about 12 of them that have very significant purposes in the story, their are many others but these are the ones i will focus on so not to give to much away. First we have Tempest right hand man Patricuis, or often called Pat. A human who was saved by Tempest after his grandfather ordered the slaughter of his family. Humans go crazy if exposed to much to the demons world, they cant see them in their true forms, but exposed for too long their brains try to see the truth, only resulting in their own insanity as their aura breaks and can no longer be used. Pat was close to this when Tempest taught him to see the truth, not only saving his life, but his mind. Since then Pat has served his prince, they grew up together, being he same age and became like brothers, Pat isnt afraid to say what he thinks to Tempest, which is aomethig he admires in the human boy, his honesty, while other tell him what he wants to hear, Pat speaks the truth, so when Tempest went on to have children of his own he named his son Patrick, after his best friend, his brother, and most trusted commander. Gilroy is the bastard son of King Crows captain of the guard, he met Tempest in a tournament growing up, seeing his scrawny little human by his side Gilroy teased and mocked the prince, none of which Tempest paid heed to. In their match Tempest won through sheer force, none the likes Gilroy had ever seen. When Gilroy was told he and his father would be living at the castle, Gilroy became terrified of Tempest, avoiding him at all possible, but one day he joined him in the court yard for training, Tempest didn't look angry at him, he only smiled and ask if Gilroy teach him his technique, claiming it to be much better than his own, surprised Gilroy agreed, the princes forgiveness surprising him. As time went on Tempest made Gilroy his official sparing partner, his knowledge of the natural world made his technique complete, moving with nature its self, Gilroy admires Tempest beyond anyone else, even his own father. Pol is another demon, pol is a Guard for Tempest, he hasn't been one for a long time so was nervous when he was told he'd be guarding the prince. At first he felt like a baby sitter, Tempest acting like a spoiled young Prince should, cracking jokes and pulling pranks, Pol found it tiresome. Pol had a strong sense of duty, so does everything as hes told, so when he found out that his best friendship become a rebel and tried to kill the king in his sleep he was torn between his duty and his friendship. Pol had the chance to kill the rebel but didn't take it, instead helping his friend to escape, he was seen by only one person, Tempest, who said he wouldn't tell anyone about what happened, and that he did the right thing in letting him go, Pol was moved by this act of kindness for a lowly guard and swore his loyalty to Tempest, not to the king. Finally in Tempest little group of men is Manus, a lion demon. From a foreign land he ran away in hopes of finding a new life in the magic kingdom. He was amazed by everything he saw, but because of his skin colour and the fact he was a lion demon, something no one had seen before, no one would hire him and looked at him with disgust. So he lived off of the land outside the city for a short time, one day Tempest and his little company where out hunting when an assassin had tried to kill Tempest, Manus not know what was going on, jumped in the way and defended the man, earning himself a knife just narrowly missing his eye. Bringing the man back to the palace Tempest told the king about his heroic deed in saving his life and asked to have him knighted, he wanted him as a personal guard if the man excepted. Later Manus found out the whole thing had been faked, Tempest had seen the way he had been treated and wanted to help him, so staged the assassin knowing he would step in so he could get him knighted by the king, so no one could look down on him again. Manus has stayed by Tempest side since, going out of his way to help him earned Manus loyalty to the pride, so to speak. Very long winded i know, but i wanted to go into a little bit about why these people are so loyal to a stuck up little prince like Tempest, or who he appears to be most of the time. Tempest saved them one way or another earning their loyalty the way a true leader should.
