Light streamed through your blinds, but as the day went on, those slits of light never moved.
The shadows are all stuck in place.
Even when it's night, some walls remain lit. Flashlights are bright, but pointing them at shadowed spots won't make their shapes any more legible than they previously were. Even some people are now permanently cloaked in light or shadows, including yourself.
Let's just say it's easier to hide in the shadows when they're always in the same place.
