if I fall
shadows dance across the floor like marbles set loose from their boxes, as if I spun and spun a bingo cage but no number came out.
if I fall to the floor (if I fall, if I fall), if I let go of the handle (if I let go, if I let go), will a number be chosen, will the light come through, will I wake?
or will I be bruised and broken and useless on the floor, shadows dancing across my spine, alone?
