Just wrote a scene that I loved about my main character and his best friends. So much love and support between them.

Which one’s your favourite? I love all of them.
Rayman’s eyes shifted to the clasp that held his cloak together: an orb containing the shrunken Great Protoon and Electoons circling it. Mr. Dark averted his gaze, holding the clasp close and concealing it beneath his hand; a white gloved hand that seemed to have black claws piercing through the fabric.
“Rayman, is it?” he spoke, nodding to him. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. I mean that. Really.”
More Shadows of Magic art
To anyone who cares, I'm gonna talk about my Rayman AU, Shadows of Magic.
Betilla and the Magician used to be enemies. She helped him see the error of his ways and they ran away together. Platonically.
The spells they used to spy on each other during their rivalry went rogue and gained sentience. Betilla's became Rayman. The Magician's became Mr. Dark.
Neither Rayman nor Mr. Dark knew this before going on an epic adventure to find their creators.
Rayman, being Betilla's "sun ray", was born a nymph then transitioned into a Toon. Mr. Dark, being the Magician's "shadow", was born a Teensie then transitioned into a Toon.
Speaking of Toons, anyone who lives in Toon Valley long enough becomes limbless.
During vocal training, they told Rayman he could have any voice he wanted. So he chose a New Jersey accent.
The plot of Rayman Origins happens in Rayman's dreams, as he's remembering events that happened to Betilla in her past, during her rivalry with the Magician.
Including a bit where Betilla used to have a pixie cut. But a bunch of Electoons stuck to her hair and they formed a symbiotic relationship, allowing her to control her hair at will. She left her home behind to follow these Electoons to the Valley, but not before fighting the Magician.
The Magician hates Mr. Dark because he's a constant reminder of the evil things he did in the past. He views Mr. Dark as an amalgamation of the evil inside him instead of just a spell that gained sentience and became its own person.
Mr. Dark stole the Great Protoon because he, as a shadow, can't feel anything and can only travel through other shadows. He thought stealing the Great Protoon would help him gain a new body, the way Betilla used it to grant Rayman his own body. He made a thousand new bodies for himself: all the enemies Rayman faced in the first game. All of them failed to keep together.
When his efforts didn't work, Mr. Dark gave back the Great Protoon and agreed to go with Rayman to find out who their creators were to see if they could give him a new body.

Hey, anyone wanna check out the first chapter of my Rayman fanfiction? Did this one for fun (may or may not edit).
I believed it would be a cold day in hell when I felt anything over King George III's death in 1820 but here comes V.E. Schwab to throw that belief in the trash
