To be completely honest about the pets, I feel like James would have an outdoor cat that usually only comes in for food and/or to escape the weather. He's probably allergic to it as well.

I agree that he’s probably allergic and I don’t think he’s the soft-hearted kind of person who would put up with that kind of discomfort for the sake of an animal. He might leave food outside for a cat, but I don’t think he’d let it in or physically interact with it.

Anon #2: Seers are not to be touched ever - even if they’ve gone off the deep end and started attacking people, you are to incapacitate them and nothing more. A seer’s murderer will be punished with exile or death depending on the circumstances. It’s almost impossible to find a Clan in any era that will defend your actions.

Anon #4: Oh yeah, definitely. You can still receive signs from dreams, after all, and if the rest of your senses work, then the only thing holding you back is having to feel a bent twig instead of seeing it.

On a more serious note, that cat would definitely be pestered by apprentices and kits asking if they’re part of a story or something. The cat would probably have a list of emotional issues stemming from their bloodline. Or they’d be bragging about that all day every day. Who knows? 

Anon #3: No, just a tragedy. A molly would have to mate multiple times to figure out that she’s infertile, which means she really wants a family. Cats from all Clans would have nothing but sympathy for her. 

Alternatively, if she’s opportunistic, that means fuckin’ all the dudes she wants. So. Good for her, I guess. 

Anon #4: I’ve touched on the subject a little bit before, but if the cat just leaves the whole Clan life behind, they’re now an enemy and don’t deserve to be spoken of. No true Clan cat would ever ditch their family, especially for a life as awful as a loner’s. And if you do, you were never a real warrior to begin with. I can’t believe I ever looked at you as a friend. Don’t you dare come crawling back asking to be let back in, because you left for as long as it was convenient. 

Something like that, I imagine. 

Anon #5: God, I have no idea. Classic tabbies might be the most common, and I sure do see a lot of ginger cats and tortoiseshells, but that’s all I can tell you. Very sorry. Does anyone know anything about this?

shadowthepiratecat: Sadly, no. The closest you’ll get is if Terror or a river spirit takes on a serpentine form. Dragons would be fucking sick as a mythical creature in feline culture, but the territories just don’t have that.
