I just wanted to share my happiness of something I just now noticed in midcin! In the Sweet Fascination event, the guys' expressions are animated in their getting closer pics! It may be a simple little thing, but it made me smile ^_^ I wouldn't mind seeing our guys animated like this a lot more!

heya! yes! they look nice and some show certain expressions you don’t normally see! i’m happy you like midcin. like i’m so happy whenever someone brings midcin up, thank you! i know only a tenth of my followers play midcin but i love the game so much so yeah, just gonna keep shoving it down everyone’s throats via my posts! (≧◡≦)♡

How I feel about this character: I actually didn’t like Aymeric at first, haha- I thought he was a smarmy asshole and kind of wanted to punch him in the face.  I wasn’t entirely sure what his role in the story would be, but just like with Artoirel, through Heavensward we get to see him grow not only as a leader but as a person, and I am super into that.  I think it was after the Vault that I really decided I liked him. :D Now, he’s certainly one of my favorites- I’m sad his character arc is over, but I enjoy seeing him when he shows up!

All the people I ship romantically with this character: I’ve always had a soft spot for Aymeric/the player character, but I also shipped him with Haurchefant, back when I was still actively writing :D Estinien as well!

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Lucia, hands down. I super like their friendship and I want to PROTECT IT.

My unpopular opinion about this character: Laughs I’m going to need a bomb shelter for this, but I play Aymeric as being on the ace/asexual spectrum.  I know there are a lot of different words and designations and such to describe that, but I kind of see him as someone who was always way too busy to really stop and think about sex- someone who it might not occur to until there’s a strong emotional attachment with someone he’s romantically involved in.  I feel like that was simply not possible before the end of the war, because as everyone who’s in or has been in a relationship knows, relationships take Work And Time- and Aymeric devoted all of that, all he had, to Ishgard.  Ishgard came first, always, before everyone and everything- the wellbeing of his people, their safety, etc etc.  That said, I can certainly appreciate authors putting him in that situation for fan service- I’ve done it myself, many and multiple times- but insofar as I see him in a setting that is outside of that, yeah, I think he’s ace.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Mmm, I think we really got to see a lot of him; however, I would’ve liked to know more about his relationship with Haurchefant and Count Fortemps.  It seems like he views Edmont as a sort of surrogate father, and I REALLY love that, like- really- and I want to know MORE ABOUT IT.  I would love to be able to develop it myself, either solo or via RP!

my OTP: @sunlitpeony‘s Ane, is the only person I’ll play him in a relationship with.  This has built over literal years of RP and discussion, and it works very well!

a headcanon fact: Look through my blog and you’ll find a ton of them :D but my favorite is probably regarding his cat, Mandragora!
