I am once again drawing AU crossover ship art from a roleplay. This time we got Shadow from TD (left) and Red from FAM (right, belongs to @singingvio )

This was honestly supposed to just be a quick sketch but it turned into a full piece and I’m not mad about it, they’re adorable

50. kisses with their last dying breath for the possible drabble thing? And with maybe Red/Shadow?

Shadow already knows he's too late. He knows, and still denies, because to admit it would be to accept the truth- that Red is dying and there's nothing he can do.

The others already said their goodbyes. Green's doing his best to keep it together for all of them, but there's only so much he can do against Vio's shutting down, Blue's lashing out, Shadow's refusal to let go. He's not sure if he can stand to go in. He's not sure if he can stand not to.

"He's asking for you." Vio murmurs in passing as he leaves Red's room, voice hollow. "You should see him before. . ."

Shadow brushes past, into the room, and the sight of Red wrapped in bandages, burns and cuts that just won't heal- the sight makes him feel angry and guilty all at once. Red didn't deserve this. Nobody deserved this. If only he'd been faster .

"Hi. . ." Red, sweet, cheerful, loving, caring Red, still smiles at him. It breaks his heart in a way he hasn't felt since the Fire Temple. "I'm. . .happy to see you."

"You shouldn't be." Shadow moves to his side, sitting on the bed weightlessly. "You should be resting."

"Rest isn't going to help." Red murmurs. "And you know that."

He knows. He hates it. He swallows.

"Still." It's a miracle Red can even speak. His chest barely moves when he breathes. "I. . ." Shadow's throat closes up. What can he say? Red is dying.

"Hey-" And of course there's tears running down Shadow's cheeks. Of course Red tries to lift his hands to wipe them away, and can't find the strength. Every moment in this room is suffocating, and Shadow can't take it. He wants to leave. He can't leave. "Come here."

Red still smiles at him, eyes drooping, unfocused. "Lean closer. For me?"

Shadow does, and his tears are on Red's cheeks now. It's not fair. None of this is fair.

"Please keep them safe." Red murmurs. "They're your family too, you know. Promise me?"

How can he promise when he couldn't even keep Red safe? But Red looks at him so earnestly, he can't stop himself.

"I will."

"You know I love you?" Red asks, whisper soft. His eyes are closed. His breathing is so shallow.

Shadow kisses him desperately, like he could breathe life into Red's lungs if he just kissed him hard enough, like this is a fairy tale where the kiss breaks the spell and everyone lives happily ever after once all's said and done. He feels Red's lips turn up at the corners against his own.

He feels Red's breath puff out against his lips.

And then, he feels nothing.

Sooooo.....(part 2)

People actually wanted to see my take on red joins the dark world.

Before we begin-

I ship shadred like hell. This stemmed from a cute post manga fanfic.

Expect shadred.

This is lonnnnnggggg.

Excuse me if its cringy its quite late.

Also if its to ooc i also apologise.

Anyway:

The arsonist who sets fire to the village gives red the fire rod the moment he's close enough-which frames red.

As Red's running away, the things the villagers are saying to him really get to him, and when he looses the crowd, he starts having a panic attack, not because of the villagers, they dont know him, because of what the others would think. What Blue would think, silly little things that were Greens fault and not his ended up with him taking Blue's hammer to the head, so of someone had set fire to a village and all arrows point to Red, he's gets worried that the hammer to the head will be a sword when they next meet.

Irrational? Yes, but it doesnt stop Red panicking about it.

Shadow, who had plans to steal Red's sword and be done with it, finds him and his inner hero, as much as he curses it, makes him try to calm Red down. He has no idea how to do that, but luckily Red starts telling him whats wrong and calming down. When he stops crying, he offers shadow his sword, saying he wouldnt need it.

In a half joking, half serious manner, Shadow refuses, saying he wants the sword, but he wants to take it himself.

He then offers to jump red over to the others, but he refuses and asks to go with shadow until he feels confident enough to explain what happened calmly.

So all of a sudden, Shadow's plans to get Vio to go against the others turns into getting Red to turn against them. He lets Red stay as lomg as he needs, they have sparring matches and Shadow shows Red the dark world forces.

Red is surprised to see how well the army is treated, everyones looking out for eachother in a professional way, saying its no use to have a poorly treated army or else they will perform poorly. Red's also quick to "fit in" to it all. It even gets to the point a certain mage helps him find shadow's room late at night in the pitch black because he had a nightmare about the village and needed more shadow support because he's surprisingly good once he learns how.(aka lots of cuddles and cheesy jokes.)

Eventually, Blue and Vio are captured and while Red is adamant about not seeing Blue, he does agree to see Vio, which was, but not so much anymore considering how attached Red is to him, part of Shadow's plan. The encounter goes as well as you'd expect, Vio gets mad, which fuels Red's anxiety and leads to him getting upset and leaving.

Now that Vio had confirmed that his worrying about the others opinions of him now he's done nothing wrong but it appears he has, he decides to get more involved with the dark world's taking over hyrule quest, showing them good places to take over and such, because if he gets blamed for things despite his innocence, what's the point of being innocent?
