Invited // Savoury and sweet buckwheat crepes from the newly opened The Creperie in Shafto Lane, Perth CBD. Tried Edimbuorgh (pulled pork, confit apples, spices) aud18; Kerloret (farm goat cheese, honey, rocket) aud14; Petit Gris (French snails, homemade escargot butter) aud26; Julie (mango purée, grilled pistachio) aud14. They also serve French ciders along with the crepes! Menu on @perthfoodmenu If you love crepes, rejoice for Perth finally has a specialty crepe restaurant! My favourite was the Petit Gris - love escargots! The crepe was crispy too (photos 4&5). The Kerloret was nice with the creamy farm goat’s cheese and tasted sweet with honey (photos 3&6). Edimbuorgh with the pulled pork and confit apples tasted exotic and like a Moroccan dish to me - somehow thought of tagine when I was eating it. The Julie sweet crepe had mango purée drizzled on top with grilled pistachio scattered over it. Was hoping there would be mango pieces inside the crepe but there was actually nothing inside this sweet crepe. The highlight is the soft crepes made from gluten-free organic buckwheat flour.
